Type

Treasure of the Secret Springs is a Side Quest in Tears of the Kingdom.

Overview

After the Wind Temple is completed and the Hebra weather returned to normal, Tulin will tell Link that he and Harth looked through some ancient literature[1]. In it, Tulin found a riddle written in one of the books[2].

The "secret treasure" is the Vah Medoh Divine Helm, which is located in the bottom of the North Biron Snowshelf Cave. Link must flood the cave to access the alcove where the Treasure Chest containing it lies. If Link returns to Tulin afterward, the latter will observe that even though it looks like it was intended for a sage, it appears to be too heavy for him. He tells Link to keep it, and thinks it might make their connection stronger.

Requirements

To trigger the quest, Link must have completed Tulin of Rito Village. However, the quest is not required to access the cave and obtain the Vah Medoh Divine Helm. If Link has already collected the helm, the quest will complete immediately upon triggering.

Walkthrough

  • After completing Tulin of Rito Village, talk to Tulin to start the quest.
  • Make sure you have something to melt ice with, such as a Ruby fused to a shield, as well as a way to break rock walls, such as Bomb Flowers & Arrows.
  • Open your map to find the center of the 3 springs at North Biron Snowshelf Cave and go there. Melt the huge block of ice blocking the entrance and head inside.
  • Make your way to the huge vertical area.
On the walls, you'll see quite a few rock walls covering openings. Use your map to determine which ones correspond to the springs, and break them. This will bring in water from the corresponding springs to the bottom of the vertical room.
The water spring openings are, counting from the opening above the owl statue going clockwise, the 3rd, 6th, and 9th ones.
  • Once water from all 3 springs is flowing in, the huge owl statue will move, revealing the way to a treasure chest containing the Vah Medoh Divine Helm.
