The Flute Player's Plan is a Side Adventure in Tears of the Kingdom.

Overview

Pyper can be found hiding in a tree north of Highland Stable, after he set it on fire because his friend, Haite, wanted to see a "glowing tree". Filled with remorse at how it went, he wants to have another try using Sunset Fireflies - having already collected a bunch of them, he just needs ten more.

When Link gives him the fireflies, he asks him to bring Haite by at night. Haite is amazed and bewitched by the sight, and says she feels "really happy". Afterward, Pyper decides to return to the Stable Trotters to practice his music more, and to hopefully make Haite smile again. He then gives Link a Big Hearty Truffle as thanks, ending the quest.

Walkthrough

Speak with Pyper found in a tree, just north of Highland Stable.
Give Pyper 10 Sunset Fireflies. At the Highland Stable, Beedle will sell three Sunset Fireflies right at the stable for 10 Rupees each.
After giving the fireflies to Pyper, find Haite after nighttimes at the Stable. Speak with her and bring her over to the tree where Pyper is located.
Pyper will play his flute and release the fireflies, creating a glowing tree. This will make Haite finally feel happy.
Pyper thanks Link and will reward him with a Big Hearty Truffle. He then leaves to join the Stable Trotters.

Adventure Log

Step	Description
1	Pyper tried to make the glowing tree of Haite's dreams by lighting it on fire, but his efforts turned to ash. Now he's fired up to try again using fireflies. He needs 10 sunset fireflies for his next attempt.
2	You gave Pyper 10 sunset fireflies. In order to show off his glowing tree, Pyper wants you to bring Haite to the tree at night.
3	Accompanied by the flute, the fireflies lit up the darkness and made the tree glow spectacularly. Haite felt a swell of emotion and could not hold back a true smile. Inspired, Pyper vowed to return to the Stable Trotters to hone his craft and use his music to keep Haite smiling. Pyper would like to give you a thank-you gift.
