Heat-Endurance Contest! is a Side Quest in Tears of the Kingdom.

Overview

Having beaten Rahdo "the Enduring" in a contest of cold, he now challenges Link to a new contest; to see who can last an entire day in the extreme Gerudo Desert heat. And he's upped the ante; 150 Rupees per person, and the winner takes the pot of 300 Rupees

The rules are basically the same as before:

• Link must last the entire day (From 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM).
• Link can wear no clothing, so underwear only.
• Link cannot leave his pillar. If his feet touch the ground, he loses.
• If Link's health gets too low, Rahdo will end the contest, with Link as the loser.

Otherwise, any advantage that the player can give themselves is acceptable.

Requirements

You must have completed Cold-Endurance Contest!, and have 150 Rupees.

Walkthrough

Same rules as before, which means you have access to the same advantages. Possible options you can consider are:

• Eat heat resistance food/elixirs (Lvl 1 resist is sufficient)
• Fuse a Sapphire or any other cold-emitting item to a weapon/shield and keep it equipped.
• Using Zonai Devices (Feel free to experiment, but remember that you will have to do your building during the contest. Any constructs made beforehand will disappear once the contest starts).
  • One example would be to use the Stakes and stone panels nearby to create some shade over your pillar, just keep in mind that you will have to compensate for the movement of the sun.
• Climb onto the side of your pillar, and then move around the pillar so that you stay in the shade (Totally legal, just do not climb low enough to touch the ground).

The whole contest lasts for eight real-time minutes. Once the clock hits 4:30 PM, Rahdo collapses, and calls it a win for Link. He congratulates you and gives you a Gold Rupee, as promised.

Step	Description
1	Rahdo has challenged you to a contest of endurance. To win, you must stand atop a pillar through the heat of the day in nothing but your underwear. So long as you do not touch the ground, you're allowed to do whatever it takes to endure.
Complete	You managed to defeat Rahdo in his heat-endurance contest. Recognizing your mighty endurance, Rahdo departed on a training journey to temper himself even further.
