Type

A Picture for South Akkala Stable is a Side Quest in Tears of the Kingdom.

Overview

If Link examines the empty picture frame at South Akkala Stable, Dmitri will call him over and explain that the Stable Association sent frames for them to fill.[1] He would like a picture of the Unity Bell, which hangs over the Goddess Statue in Tarrey Town, for the frame.[2]

When Link takes a picture of it and returns to South Akkala Stable to show Dmitri, he asks if he can paint a copy for the frame.[3] He recounts the story of ringing the bell with his wife that gave him the idea for the painting and how it brought them happiness,[4] how couples often hold their wedding ceremonies at the bell and then gives Link a Prime Meat Stew (1 Heart.png1 Heart.png1 Heart.png1 Heart.png1 Heart.png1 Heart.png) and one Pony Point as thanks.[5]

The Purah Pad camera must have been unlocked by Robbie in the Camera Work in the Depths Main Quest.

Complete
Dmitri, the owner of South Akkala Stable, is happy to have a painting of the Unity Bell hung on the stable wall.
Still, he's happy to replace it with a different picture of the bell. Just show him a new image and he'll make a copy and put it on display.

References

  1. "Dmitri", Ah, Link, has that empty frame caught your eye? We stable owners are going to be putting paints on display for everyone to enjoy. The Stable Association figured it'd be a good idea for us to hang the frames first to get ready.
  2. "Dmitri", I asked my family what sort of picture we should put up, and we've finally decided. Have you seen the "Unity Bell" in Tarrey Town over in the east? The story goes that if two people ring it together, their love will last forever. All sorts of couples pay it a visit. Anyway, I think it would be nice to paint a picture of the Unity Bell and hang it here at the stable. All four of my daughters think it would look perfect on the wall too! But...I really need to go see it if I'm going to paint it accurately. And, well, work is far too busy for me to get away. Of course...if I had a picture of the bell in front of me, I could just use that as reference.
  3. "Dmitri", Oh, did you bring me a picture of the Unit Bell?! Can I see it? Aha! This is exactly the picture I asked for! This would really liven up the look around here. Is it OK if I pain a copy?
  4. "Dmitri", Thank you! This sure brings back the memories...You see, I did ring it once. My wife and I rang it together, in fact. And here we are, still happy together, all thanks to that bell. Now, just give me a moment to whip up a reproduction. Haha, don't worry! I'm quite good at this, I promise. I knew it! It's perfect for this stable! And it's all thanks to you, Link.
  5. "Dmitri", Ah...it's almost as if I can hear the bells' happy ring. I hear lots of couples have held their wedding ceremonies there. If you ever capture a different picture of the Unity Bell, I'm happy to make a new painting. All you need to do is show me the picture so I can use it as reference! To show my appreciation, I'm giving you one Pony Point. Oh yes, and please take this too! This dish is a stable specialty. Thank you for a truly splendid picture. Please, feel free to use the stable whenever you want.
