Ride the Giant Horse is a Shrine Quest in Tears of the Kingdom.

Overview

Baddek found a shrine crystal that he'd be willing to trade with you if you bring him the rumored Giant White Stallion. Link can catch the horse and ride it to him to get the crystal and activate Ishokin Shrine.

Not required, but the Giant White Stallion featured in this quest is the same horse as in A Picture for Highland Stable.

Walkthrough

  • (Optional) Interact with Ishokin Shrine to activate the green light that points to the shrine crystal.
  • (Optional - you can just show up with the horse) Talk to Baddek ( -0694, -3395, 0172 ) to start the quest.
  • Head to Ibara Butte to catch the Giant White Stallion at ( 0803, -3718, 0081 ). This will take a fair amount of stamina, so bring food if you don't have all three rings of the wheel.
  • Ride back to Baddek to show him the horse. He'll give you the shrine crystal.
  • Carry the crystal down to Ishokin Shrine to activate it.
  • You can keep the stallion and board it at a stable if you would like to.

Adventure Log

Step Description
1
You ran into Baddek, a horse-lover who found a beautiful crystal in the mountains southwest of the Faron Grasslands. Baddek said he'll give the crystal to you if you bring him the giant horse that's rumored to be in the area.

Ask near Highland Stable east of the grasslands to see if anyone knows about this giant horse.

2
Impressed with the giant horse, Baddek gave you the crystal, which emits a faint light.

The next step is to figure out what the crystal might be used for.

3
Baddek gave you a crystal after you brought him the giant horse. It seems that you can enter a Shrine of Light if you offer up a crystal.

Follow the ray of light, and offer up the crystal at the shrine.
