The High Spring and the Light Rings is a Shrine Quest in Tears of the Kingdom.
Overview
The High Spring and the Light Rings is given by Nazbi, a Hylian standing next to a fire at the Spring of Wisdom. Note that triggering the quest itself is not required to actually do it and unlock the Shrine of Light.
Go the the island in the sky shaped like a light bulb (3961, -1539, 1119). Shield surf from the island after activating the Zonai terminal, follow the green light trail down to the slope below, don't forget to use the paraglider to soften the landing, if needed. Shield surf down the slope going through the green rings. At the end of the short course Zakusu Shrine will appear.
Requirements
You will need either the Paraglider or a Fairy to keep you from dying on impact after jumping off the sky island. Cold Resistance level two is required.
Walkthrough
- Optionally, speak to Nazbi next to the Spring of Wisdom to trigger the quest.
- Head up to the island in the sky at (3961, -1539, 1119). This can be done by launching from Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower and paragliding over, or by utilizing Zonai Devices to ride over from another sky island.
- Activate the Dragon Ring in the center of the island. Dropping a Travel Medallion or saving right before beginning the trial will allow you to quickly go back to the island if you don't succeed on your first attempt.
- Use a combination of shield surfing and paragliding to pass through the seven green rings. There is a time limit per ring, shown in the disappearing runes around each ring, so work quickly. If you miss a ring, you'll need to start over.
- You will need to free fall or dive to make it to the surface to get to the second ring in time.
- Link is not penalized if he stops surfing and walks for a few steps, although this will eat into your time.
- Be sure to use the paraglider to avoid dying on impact after jumping down from the sky island.
- At the end of the ring course Zakusu Shrine will unlock and the shrine quest will complete.
