Pyper is a character in Tears of the Kingdom.
Tears of the Kingdom
Pyper can be found at the Highland Stable where Link can hear him play his flute up in a tree, just north of the actual stable. When Link arrives he asks if he came to hear his performance.[1][2]
After Link has spoken with Mastro over at the Outskirt Stable, Link can ask Pyper if he's a member of the Stable Trotters.[3] After hearing that the Stable Trotters are getting back together, Pyper is delighted, but he mentions that he has something to take care of here first, at the stable.[4]
The Flute Player's Plan

After speaking with Pyper at Highland Stable, Link will learn that there was a fire that Pyper caused, burning a portion of the field, including a bunch of flowers that grew here before. One of Pyper's friends from the stable, Haite, loves flowers and has wanted to see a glowing tree. Pyper thinks this tree doesn't really exist, but Pyper wants to give Haite the next best thing. He wants to make a little tree, with a little fire, to making a glowing tree. However, in order to do that, he needs to collect at least 10 more Sunset Fireflies.[5] This will begin The Flute Player's Plan quest.
If Link has enough fireflies, Pyper will sense the glow coming from his pouch.[6][7] After giving the fireflies to Pyper, he mentions that he has all the things he needs. He asks Link to do him a favor. If Link can wait until nightfall and then bring Haite to this location. This will advance the quest and Pyper will return back to the tree up above.[8][9]
After nightfall, Link can speak with Haite, and as long as it is not raining, she will follow Link. Bring Haite over to the tree where Pyper is and Pyper will begin to play his flute, while release the fireflies. The tree will light up and it will make Haite feel happy, as it is just as it was in her dreams. Pyper is delighted that Haite is finally happy. Although Pyper thinks this is not enough. He has decided to rejoin the Stable Trotters, improving his music abilities so that crowds love the music, and that Haite will love the music too. This way she'll always smile.[10] Pyper thanks Link for helping out and will reward him with a Big Hearty Truffle. He will then head out to rejoin the Stable Trotters.[11][12]
Serenade to Kaysa

Once Pyper has arrived at the Outskirt Stable with the the rest of the troupe, Link can complete the Serenade to Kaysa. Speak with Mastro to begin the quest. Link will need to use the nearyb Stone Slab, Big Wheels, and a Steering Stick to create a vehicle that can ride up the rubble. After attaching the troups wagon, Breezer, Link can talk to Mastro and they'll jump on board. After safely bringing the troupe to the Great Fairy, they will perform, causing Kaysa to appear out of her flower bud.[13] Link will be rewarded by Mastro with a Silver Rupee.
Stable Trotters Reunited
After saving all four of the Great Fairies, all of the members of the Stable Trotters will be reunited. As a thanks to Link for being a hero, they rename their group the Stable Heroes. Pyper comments that now that they've saved all the Great Fairies, the group is just getting started. They are planning on playing and make audiences smile all over Hyrule.[14] The group can then be seen playing at all the Stables throughout Hyrule.

So...I thought I'd use just a little tree... and a little fire...and make a "glowing tree." Really quick, that's all. That's how things got burned here, but I was only thinking of my promise to Haite. Besides...it didn't even work. I would still like to surprise her with a "glowing tree" somehow, but safely.
