Ruby is a material found in Breath of the Wild, Age of Calamity, and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

"A precious red gem mined from large ore deposits found throughout Hyrule. Rubies contain the power of fire and have fetched a high price since ancient times."

— In-game description

Rubies can be obtained from miscellaneous Chests in the game, from mining Rare Ore Deposits, and it is also a common drop from the Stone Talus (Rare). Additionally, Silver variants of many of the enemies will occasionally drop a Ruby as a spoil, including Silver Bokoblin, Silver Moblin, Silver Lizalfos, and Silver Lynels.

Ruby are required if Link wants to purchase the Ruby Circlet from Starlight Memories in Gerudo Town, as 3 are necessary in the manufacture. Alternatively, Ruby can be sold to shop-vendors such as Beedle for 210 Rupees a piece.

Locations

There are many set locations where Link can find a Ruby inside of a treasure chest.

Tears of the Kingdom

This Tears of the Kingdom section is a stub. You can help the Zelda Dungeon Wiki by expanding it.

Rubies can be obtained from miscellaneous Chests in the game and from mining Rare Ore Deposits. Rubies have a Fuse Attack Power of 1.

When fused onto a weapon or shield, it will create fireballs when the weapon is swung or the shield blocks an attack. If fused onto an arrow, however, the Ruby will be consumed on use in order to create a terrifying large fire explosion upon impact, much larger than any other fire-type fuse. However, this explosion can also damage or kill Link if he is in the blast radius.
