Fortified Pumpkin is a material found in Breath of the Wild, Age of Calamity, and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

"An extremely tough pumpkin raised in village fields. When cooked, that toughness manifests itself by considerably upping defense."

— In-game description

Fortified Pumpkins are grown in abundance in Kakariko Village, but can also be dropped by Red Hinox. Fortified Pumpkins will restore ½ of a heart when eaten raw. Roasting it on an open fire will make a Baked Fortified Pumpkin, which will restore ¾ of a heart with no special effects.

In a Cooking Pot, can also be used in a variety of Recipes, and have an extra cooking effect of increased defense.

Age of Calamity

"An extremely tough pumpkin raised in village fields. Making it a part of one's diet is said to toughen up the body."

Tears of the Kingdom

This Tears of the Kingdom section is a stub. You can help the Zelda Dungeon Wiki by expanding it.

Fortified Pumpkins will restore ½ of a heart when eaten raw. When cooked they will help to raise defense. They have a Fuse Attack Power of 1.

Cooking with them creates "Tough" meals, which give the Defense Up effect that reduces the damage Link takes when attacked. Eating one raw heals only half a heart. Dropping one on an open fire makes Baked Fortified Pumpkin, which heals three-quarters of a heart and has no stat-boosting effects.

They are sold by High Spirits Produce, East Wind, and the Wandering Merchant Maypin for 20 rupees, or can be sold to any merchant for 5. They also can be grown in the Hateno School garden during or after the Uma's Garden quest. Each harvest yields nine Fortified Pumpkins.
