Bow

The Hero's Bow is a recurring item in The Legend of Zelda series. It is a variant of the Bow, with similar properties and uses.

Majora's Mask

In Majora's Mask, the Hero's Bow is the dungeon item of the Woodfall Temple. It functions mostly identically to the Fairy Bow in Ocarina of Time, being able to snipe faraway enemies and Switches by firing Arrows. It is required to face several enemies such as Gekko, Wizzrobes, Mad Jelly, and Eyegores. Link can obtain Fire Arrows, Ice Arrows, and Light Arrows to use in place of regular Arrows; these have varying functions, and are required to access all of Termina. However, Link is unable to upgrade his Quiver in this game, leaving him at a max capacity of 30 Arrows.

The Hero's Bow can be used for the Shooting Galleries in East Clock Town and Southern Swamp, and the target-shooting games at the Swamp Tourist Center and Honey and Darling's Shop. Link can also use the Hero's Bow while riding Epona, which can come in useful when fending off the Ghosts from Romani Ranch.

The Wind Waker

In The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, the Hero's Bow is the dungeon item of the Tower of the Gods. It can be used to snipe faraway Switches, and some enemies, such as Beamos and Gohdan, can only be defeated using it. Link will also receive Fire, Ice, and Light Arrows over the course of the game, which can he can use in place of regular Arrows. Unlike in previous games, Link can toggle between his current ammunition using the R button. The Hero's Bow is also required for a shooting minigame with the Fishman, provided Link had first filled in a portion of the Sea Chart.

During the final boss fight against Ganondorf, Zelda will assist Link by using his Bow to fire Light Arrows at Ganondorf, stunning him so that Link can attack with the Master Sword.

Twilight Princess

In Twilight Princess, the Hero's Bow is the dungeon item of the Goron Mines; it is the same Hero's Bow used by the Hero of Time, and is kept as a sacred treasure of the Gorons. Link can use it to snipe enemies and faraway Switches; while there are no specialised Arrows in this game, Link can attach Bombs to his Arrows to fire Bomb Arrows, or use it in conjunction with the Hawkeye to snipe faraway targets. Link can use the Hero's Bow while riding Epona, which comes in useful while escorting Telma through Hyrule Field. The Hero's Bow is also used to fight and defeat King Bulblin.

Battle Quest

This bow can be used to take down enemies from a great distance. It shines brightly when charged. You'll feel like the hero of Hyrule with this in your hands. Trust me, I know.

The Hero's Bow is the item used by the Archer in Battle Quest.
