Baito (son)

Kashiko is a minor character in The Wind Waker. Although she is never seen in the game, she is mentioned several times by her son, Baito. After Link manages to sort 25 letters, Baito is so impressed that he wants to write to his mother about it.[1] He asks Link to take the note to his mom to a Postbox because he cannot leave his job.[2]

After Link does so, he receives a reply a bit later on from Kashiko. She thanks him for his kindness toward her son and gives Link a Piece of Heart.[3]

  1. "I'm so impressed! Seriously, man! I've gotta tell my mom back home all about this. I just gotta!" — Baito, The Wind Waker.
  2. "I've got a favor to ask of you, man. I'm still new here, so I'm not allowed to leave. So, would you mind putting this letter to my mom in the postbox for me?" — Baito, The Wind Waker.
  3. "To my son's superior, Thank you very much for looking after my boy. This isn't much, but I hope you'll accept it all the same. I politely request your continued kindness toward my son. Kashiko (Baito's mother)" — Kashiko's letter, The Wind Waker.
