Basht is member of the Rito tribe, found on Dragon Roost Island in The Wind Waker.

Overview

Basht is one of the Rito who stand guard in the inside of Dragon Roost Island. When Link first arrives at the island, Basht can be seen guarding a passage on the first floor that leads out to the Dragon Roost Pond. Basht will comment that the bridge leading to Dragon Roost Cavern is out and that there is no way to get inside. He also suggests that Link is not able to swim across as the pond is completely dried up and there is no water. Although Basht doesn't seem too concerned, as he believes the Rito Chieftain will think of something.

Basht and Bisht havd identical models, perhaps indicating that the two are twins. Later in the game they can often be found next to one another, standing guard.
