Common

Bokoblin

Bokoblins have a much different visual look in Skyward Sword, taking on a more Moblin-like appearance. Some of them have small caps on top of their heads, wear bandannas or masks, and sometimes even have beards. These differences do not seem to have an effect on how they battle. They also have an apparent affinity for exotic undergarments.[1]

Bokoblins are common enemies, found in almost every location throughout the game. When they detect Link's presence (except for the Bokoblin Archers), they sprint toward him and strike at him with their weapons. Some also hold horns which they blow to call out reinforcements. These are the most common enemy in the game, and are found in every region.

Red Bokoblin

Main article: Red Bokoblin

The Red Bokoblin is the standard Bokoblin. They are the most common and the weakest. They come in three different types: normal ones that wield swords or clubs, Archers, and Leaders.

This version of the Red Bokoblin has two black horns on its head and wears a leather vest and loincloth. Normal Bokoblins wield rusty machete-like swords when found in Faron Woods and a club covered in spiny green vines when found around Eldin Volcano and block Link's slashes. They move the sword from left to right, or hold it up, blocking directional attacks from Link's blade.

There are two main ways to defeat this type. Link can perform a carefully timed shield bash when they attack staggering them making an opening in their defense. This way is only useful when facing a single Bokoblin.

The second method of defeating them is taking the offensive and attacking the area that is not blocked by its weapon. This is a better tactic when facing multiple enemies because hitting a Bokoblin also staggers them leaving them open for additional attacks.

They occasionally drop Ornamental Skulls or Golden Skulls when defeated.

Leader

Red Bokoblin (Leader)

Red Bokoblin Leaders have the same look and tactics as the sword Bokoblins, the only difference being the blue cap it wears and the horn it carries.[2]

If a Leader spots Link, it utilizes its horn as an alarm calling for backup. In the beginning, the only way to get rid of this horn is to defeat the Leader. However, once Link has completed the Ancient Cistern and obtained the Whip, he can now use it to steal the horn from the Leader's waist belt. This does not defeat the Bokoblin; it simply steals the horn.

They occasionally drop a Monster Horn when defeated.

Archer

Archers are characterized by a skull cap and a bandanna covering its mouth. Every different colored Bokoblin Archer behaves generally the same way. When they spot Link, they raise an alarm much like the Bokoblin Leaders. Archers attack from a distance.[3] Although the Archers range can be dangerous early on in the game, it only takes one hit to take them out.

Bokoblin Archers are often found atop towers. Link can use Bombs to destroy the towers, bringing the Bokoblins down with them. Unlike the other Bokoblins, they do not sprint toward Link, but instead shoot Arrows at him. They are pretty much defenseless in close quarter combat, usually only requiring a single sword strike.

Cursed Bokoblin

Main article: Cursed Bokoblin

Cursed Bokoblins are zombified enemies found within the underground section of the Ancient Cistern. They are much slower than the normal variation and do not have a sword to block Link's attacks. However, they are much tougher than they look, as they can take a seemingly endless amount of hits from Link's Sword. The most efficient way to defeat them is by using the Fatal Blow once they have been knocked down. Also, when Link brandishes any of the shields in the Sacred Shield series, the Cursed Bokoblins appear to be afraid of the shield and begin to retreat back from Link.[4]

In the battle with Koloktos, the boss has the ability to summon a small horde of Cursed Bokoblins. They are much easier to defeat because Link can defeat them with an ordinary sword strike, and there is no need for a Fatal Blow. They come in groups of three or four. When Link fights them outside the boss room, they often appear in huge numbers and, sometimes, if Link does manage to defeat one, another takes its place. They are also able to follow Link across many obstacles, such as climbing ropes.

Blue Bokoblin

The Blue Bokoblin is a very stronger variation of the standard Red Bokoblin. Because of this extra strength, it is much tougher to defeat. It has the same attack patterns as the Red Bokoblin, but has different clothing and skin color because of the fact that it hails from a different environment.[5]

Green Bokoblin

Green Bokoblins wield hammers and are seen to be wearing white skull caps and tooth necklaces. They are basically a dungeon version of the Red Bokoblin, but take slightly more damage.[6] These also come in an Archer variety which looks exactly the same as a Red Archer, only green.[7] They enjoy caves, and because of this, the color of their skin has turned green.

Technoblin

Main article: Technoblin
Technoblin

Technoblins are ancient Bokoblins that had access to high tech weapons.[8] These Bokoblins are often found when a Timeshift Stone is activated near a Bokoblin Skeleton in Lanayru Desert. The tactics for defeating this variation are the same as any other sword wielding Bokoblin. Link must be extra careful not to hit the sword they carry as it is electric and can be very dangerous to Link. If Link's Sword makes contact with this weapon, he is shocked and loses one heart.

When using a Shield against this type, it is best to use the Wooden Shield, Sacred Shield, or Hylian Shield because one strike from its weapon disintegrates an Iron Shield. When fighting a Technoblin that appeared in conjunction with a Timeshift Stone, if Link knocks it out of the time rift zone, it turns back into a skeleton.

ChuChu

In Skyward Sword, Chuchus appear in four variations: Green ChuChu, Red ChuChu, Blue ChuChu, and Yellow ChuChu. They will crawl toward Link and try to absorb him (if they are large enough), which will cause Link to take damage should he remain inside them long enough. When hit with a sword, they will split into two smaller Chuchus. These smaller ones will attach themselves to Link, slowing his movements, as well as inflicting damage should they stick to him long enough. If left alone, two smaller Chuchus will merge.

Deku Baba

Deku Babas in Skyward Sword resemble their earlier counterparts, but the method to defeat them has changed quite a bit. No longer can Link just use the sword to cut off the head of Deku Babas, but instead, he needs to make precision sword slashes in the proper direction in order to harm them. There are two variations of Deku Baba within Skyward Sword, a standard blue one, as well as a more powerful golden variation.

Deku Babas come out from underground and try to bite Link if he gets too close. They open up their mouths horizontally or vertically and Link must use a proper sword slash to separate their mouths into two. Alternatively, Link can toss or roll a bomb towards a Deku Baba and it gobbles it up, causing the bomb to explode within its mouth.

Some Deku Babas can be seen hanging from walls or the ceiling, and they are out of reach from Link's sword. In order to defeat these fellows, Link must use the Beetle. After sending out the Beetle, Link can track its direction so that it cuts down the Deku Babas from their stems. Unlike in Twilight Princess, once a Deku Baba is cut from its stem, it will be defeated. Link can also use the Bow and Arrows to cut these Deku Babas from their stems.

Link can find Deku Babas in the Faron Woods, the Skyview Temple, certain time-shifted areas of the Lanayru Desert, and Sky Keep.

Furnix

Furnixes are man-sized birds found exclusively in Skyward Sword. They can be found in the Ancient Cistern, Skipper's Retreat, and Sky Keep. Their method of attack is flying down close to Link and spitting a spread shot of three fireballs at Link. They have loops connecting to their tails that allow Link to pull them to the ground using the Whip. Once the Furnix is on the ground, it can be easily dispatched with the Sword. Once Link acquires the Bow, he can easily defeat the Furnix from a distance. Furnix resemble Kargaroks from previous titles.

Guardian

Guardians are powerful creatures Link encounters during the Silent Realm trials in Skyward Sword. They serve as an opposing force that Link must overcome in order to collect the Sacred Tears. If one of them lands an attack on Link, then he is forced to leave the Silent Realm, losing all gathered tears. They are effectively invincible owing to Link's inability to use his sword or any other items inside the Silent Realm, so his only options are to keep them dormant or avoid them.

Initially dormant, all Guardians activate as soon as Link first steps outside the protective circle at the entrance of the Silent Realm. Afterwards, they can be deactivated for 90 seconds by collecting a Sacred Tear. Re-entering the protective circle temporarily calms the Guardians, or pauses the timer if active, for as long as Link remains inside the circle. When deactivated, Guardians return to their original locations no matter how far they have moved.

If the 90-second timer runs out before another Sacred Tear is collected, all Guardians wake up and begin chasing Link, hoping to shatter his spirit and end his trial. Stepping in Waking Water or being caught in the light from an Earth or Sky Watcher also immediately activates all Guardians.

Some Guardians appear in humanoid form and wield massive clubs. These can run fast, but cannot pass through certain obstacles. Others do not have legs but instead glide through the air. They can pass through obstacles and even follow Link up ladders, trying to catch him with their two blades.

Keese

Keese SS.png

Keese reside in the overworld and within dungeons. When they swoop low enough to be within reach, Link can use a sword slash to defeat them, though Keese can be defeated with almost weapon in Link's arsenal. For example, Link can defeat multiple Keese at once with a single crack of the whip.

Following the game's art style, Keese have a somewhat cartoonish and very colorful appearance. As with the most games, variations of regular Keese also appear.

Dark Keese

Main article: Dark Keese

Dark Keese are an enemy in Skyward Sword. If Dark Keese touches Link he becomes cursed and will not be able to use any of his items or equipment including his sword. Because of this, be extra careful when facing them.

Fire Keese

Main article: Fire Keese

Fire Keese can be found around Eldin Volcano. They can still be defeated with the sword, but if they touch Link he will catch on fire.

Thunder Keese

Main article: Thunder Keese

This new variation of Keese, named Thunder Keese, resides in the Lanayru Mining Facility. They are yellow in appearance, and, like many enemies there, surround themselves with electricity when attacking. Wait until the sparking stops to strike.

Moblin

Moblins in Skyward Sword have changed in appearance quite a bit. Now they are fat, red skinned, humanoid with noses, floppy eared similar to a canine, and are bigger than Link himself. Moblins are among Demise's worshippers, and work under Ghirahim in their master's absence. Moblins are a very common enemy when revisiting Faron Woods and drop a lot of rupees.

Wooden Shield Moblin

A Wooden Shield Moblin is a giant purple monster that holds a spear and a large wooden shield. The moblin uses the shield to block your attacks, although it isn't very sturdy. You can slice the shield into pieces, leaving the moblin vulnerable to sword attacks. The moblin's primary attack is using its spear to wind back and deliver a thrusting blow at you. You can quickly dodge the attack and deliver a counter sword slash during the recoil period.

Metal Shield Moblin

An Iron Shield Moblin is a giant purple monster that holds a spear and a large Iron shield. The moblin uses the shield to block Link's attacks, and it is much sturdier than the wooden shield. The moblin's primary attack is using its spear to wind back and deliver a thrusting blow at Link. Link can quickly dodge the attack and deliver a counter sword slash during the recoil period.

Octorok

Octoroks are now land creatures and they seem to resemble their counterparts from older 2D Zelda titles. They also have some similarities to Deku Scrubs from previous Zelda games. Octoroks shoot rocks toward Link, but whenever Link comes close, they hide under patches of grass or rock. In order to defeat an Octorok, Link can deflect the rocks back by lunging his shield forward knocking the rock back towards the enemy. Link can also use the Whip to pull the Octorok up from underground for a short period of time, allowing him to slash away with the Sword.

Quadro Baba

Main article: Quadro Baba
Quadro Baba

The Quadro Baba is a stronger variation of the standard Deku Baba. It attacks Link in all the same ways that a standard Deku Baba does by lunging towards Link and attempting to bite him. Its mouth is divided into quarters, rather than the two halves of a standard Deku Baba. The Quadro Baba changes how its mouth opens mid-battle, sometimes opening horizontally and other times opening vertically. Link needs to read which way the mouth opens and quickly deliver a sword slash in the proper direction. Quadro Babas are also a bit stronger and takes multiple hits to defeat. They can also dodge attacks by moving sideways, leaving Link open to attack. Much like standard Deku Babas, Link can toss or roll a bomb towards the Quadro Baba to defeat it. The fastest way to defeat these is to shield bash when the Quadro Baba attacks, and slash its stem while it is stunned.

Quadro Baba

A Quadro Baba is a new variation of the Deku Baba found in Skyward Sword. The Quadro Baba is a stronger variation of the standard Deku Baba. They are gold in color and attack Link in the same fashion as a standard Deku Baba by lunging towards Link, attempting to bite him. Its mouth is divided into four parts, rather than the two halves of its standard counterpart. This allows the Quadro Baba to alternate directions in which its mouth opens, meaning Link has to slash either horizontally or vertically, depending on how its mouth is open.

Although it takes longer, the Quadro Baba can also be defeated by using a lunge attack no matter which way the mouth is open. Once the Bow is obtained, the Quadro Baba can be swiftly defeated from a distance with a single shot to the mouth. Additionally, unlike standard Deku Babas, Quadro Babas take multiple hits to defeat and are considered to be quite challenging.

Quadro Babas can be first found in the Deep Woods. They are also found within the Skyview Temple, but later on in the game, they are found throughout the Overworld, including the Faron Woods.

Spume

Spumes are a common enemy that appear in Skyward Sword. They shoot projectiles at Link that, unlike those of Octoroks, cannot be reflected with the Shield. Because Spumes appear in pools of lava or quicksand, they cannot be defeated with Sword attacks. The only way to defeat them is to use projectiles, such as Arrows, Bombs, or a Skyward Strike.

Magma Spume

Main article: Magma Spume

Magma Spumes can be found swimming in pools of lava. They hop up from the lava to spit out fireballs toward Link that can destroy Link's Wooden Shield. Link can use the Sword or Shield to hit the fireballs, causing them to dissipate. Since Magma Spumes are found in lava, Link cannot use the Sword to defeat them; instead, he has to rely on Bombs and projectile weapons such as the Bow and Arrow. Link can also use the stone balls to roll over and crush them.

Cursed Spume

Main article: Cursed Spume

The Cursed Spume is similar to the Magma Spume, but spits curses rather than molten rock. If the curse hits Link, he is unable to use any item for a limited time, similar to the effects of Bubbles in many games. Like all other variants, Link must use a projectile or a Bomb to defeat them.

These appear only after Link has completed the first three dungeons.

Electro Spume

Main article: Electro Spume

The Electro Spume is the same as the other two types of Spume, but differ due to them spitting electrically charged balls at Link, which can destroy Link's Iron Shield. Link must use a projectile or a Bomb to defeat them.

These appear in Lanayru Desert, and other areas with quicksand.

Water Spume

Main article: Water Spume

The Water Spume can only be found in Lanayru Sand Sea. They can be defeated by a single blast from the Cannon or by simply driving over them.

Staldra

Staldra are enemies that appear exclusively in Skyward Sword.

Staldra is a Gleeok-like enemy with three heads. In order to defeat a Staldra, Link must use a single sword slash to attack all three heads simultaneously. If Link only hits one or two of the heads, the decapitated heads quickly grow back, restoring Staldra to full life.

Each of Staldra's eyes are of a greenish-blue color. However, when Link comes near, the eyes of Staldra turn red, and it dashes forward, trying to attack Link. This can easily be avoided by taking a step back or utilizing Link's Shield.

A Spin Attack when all three of Staldra's heads are parallel to the ground quickly defeats this enemy. A standard slash at the angle of the heads is also effective, but often more difficult.

Watcher

Watchers are enemies that appear in Skyward Sword.

Watchers patrol the Silent Realm they are in, helping to protect it along with the Guardians. Watchers are only present when Guardians are inactive. They do not obey the Sacred Tears' rules, however, and regardless of how much time Link has left on his Spirit Flower, they can still wake up the Guardians. They carry around lanterns, and if Link steps into the light, they scream and let the Guardians know that there is an intruder.

There are two different types of Watchers, but they are almost the same. Sky Watchers fly around the sky in fixed routes and only alert the Guardians if Link steps into their light. Earth Watchers stay close to the ground and chase Link if they sense his presence near them, making him step in their light to alert him to the Guardians. They have a resemblance to Poes due to their ghost-like appearance and their lanterns.

The Sky

Green ChuChu

Green ChuChu

The small variant of this Greenish Blue ChuChu is first found in the Waterfall Cave on Skyloft. They also appear in Faron Woods and Lake Floria. These ChuChus slowly move toward you, then gnaw on your leg when it gets close enough. One sword slash is enough to defeat it.

The large variant is found in both Skyloft (at night) and the Ancient Cistern. Hit them with a vertical sword slash to separate it into two parts, then defeat each part individually.

This new variation of Keese, named Thunder Keese, resides in the Lanayru Mining Facility. They are yellow in appearance, and, like many enemies there, surround themselves with electricity when attacking. Wait until the sparking stops to strike.

Octorok (Sky)

Sky Octorok - Skyward Sword Wii.png

These pink Octoroks live in The Sky around Skyloft, dwelling on the floating rocks spitting projectiles at Link as he flies by on his Crimson Loftwing. These kinds are much bigger than their land-dwelling counterparts, and can be defeated by Spiral Charging at them on the Loftwing.

Remlit

Remlits are small, cat-like creatures found around Skyloft in Skyward Sword. They are typically seen as pets, and have large ears that can act like wings if needed to. During the day, these animals are friendly and innocent, until nightfall strikes in which they become enraged and try to attack Link.[9] [10] [11] It is said that many creatures, such as the Remlit, become possessed by evil forces during the night.[12]

During the day, Remlits will playfully follow Link around, and during the night, they will aggressively chase after Link and attack him. Link can pick up any Remlit and toss them off the edge of Skyloft. The Remlit will then use its wing-like ears to fly back to the surface of the floating island where it was originally found. Remlits are also impossible to kill. Link may attack them, however, they will run away and cower in fear if he does. If Link waits too long or gets too far, they will resume their normal behavior.

After Link succeeds in collecting enough Gratitude Crystals and transforming Batreaux into a human, there will be no more enemies at night in Skyloft. As such, Remlits will no longer transform into monsters.[13]

Skytail

Skytails are enemies found in Skyward Sword. They appear only inside the Thunderhead. They appear similar to Moldorms, or giant worms or centipedes, with many wings and large mandibles. They follow Link on his Loftwing in small groups, occasionally biting him for one heart of damage. They can be defeated using a Spiral Charge.

Faron

Blue ChuChu

This aquatic ChuChu can only be found underwater in the Ancient Cistern as well as flooded Faron Woods. They will hop onto Link's head and attempt to suffocate him until he shakes them off by using a Spin Attack.

Cursed Bokoblin

The Cursed Bokoblin is a form of undead zombie Bokoblins that are encountered in the Ancient Cistern. They are only found on the lowest floor in that particular dungeon. They mindlessly walk toward Link in large numbers. This enemy resembles ReDead from previous Zelda games. When Link is attacked by one, it latches on to him and drains his health until he performs the Spin Attack to effectively throw the pesky creature off.

After Link has struck the enemy, he needs to perform the Fatal Blow to end its life. Rarely, Link can obtain an Evil Crystal upon defeating these mindless monsters. Later in the game, in Sky Keep, Link can encounter them again when entering the Ancient Cistern themed room. There is a handful of them in the room along with a few Stalfos and also in the room with Stalmaster.

They can also be warded off with the Sacred Shield and all of its upgrades.

Burr

Burrs[14] are green, spiky balls that are only encountered in Skyward Sword. Appearing in most of the Faron Province, it is one of the first enemies found in Faron Woods and can later be found in the Deep Woods, Skyview Temple, and Lake Floria.

Being found on the ground and in water, it is harmless when untouched, but if Link comes into contact with a Burr, it attaches itself to him and turns red, exploding soon after.[15] This inflicts a quarter of a heart of damage to Link.[16] Similar to traps, enemies like the Bokoblin are not affected by the Burrs.[17] Before Link makes contact with one, he can use his sword to hit the Burr, making it turn red and explode. Once a Burr attaches onto Link, he can use a Spin Attack to make it detach from his body.

While Burrs can be on the ground, they are often found stuck on tightropes.[18] Like before, if Link touches a Burr, it attaches to his body and eventually explodes. However, along with damage, it knocks Link off the rope.[16] In order to avoid the Burrs, he can use the Slingshot or the Bow to knock the Burrs off the tightrope. Also, Link can jostle them off the rope or off of himself if the Burrs have attached to Link.[19]

Cranioc

Craniocs are enemies that appear in Skyward Sword.[20]

Craniocs are fish enemies that can be found in Lake Floria, Lanayru Sand Sea, and Faron Woods. They turn red and charge at Link when he is nearby. Craniocs use large bulbous crowns in their heads to attack prey and settle disputes with another of its species.

To defeat this enemy, Link must perform the Spin Attack, causing it to flip over and become stunned. Link must then perform another spin at the "X" on Cranioc's head, defeating it in the process.

Deku Hornet

"You caught # Deku Hornet! The venom of these insects can be heated to infuse a potent medicine. Just be careful not to get attacked by an angry swarm!"

— In-game Description[21]

The Deku Hornet is a collectible insect found in Skyward Sword. They are very common and can be found in Faron Woods, specifically the Deep Woods.[22] [23] [24] Later in the game, when access to the Thunderhead is available, Deku Hornets can be found on the island of Bug Rock. They are obtainable after Link knocks down one of their nests, he can then capture them with a Bug Net although the Deku Hornets will attack when he is too close.[25] Additionally, by destroying their hive Link also receives Hornet Larvae.[26] . They are used in upgrading Potions, specifically the Heart Potion and Revitalizing Potion.

Eye Guardian

This article is a stub. You can help the Zelda Dungeon Wiki by expanding it.

The Eye Guardian is an enemy from Skyward Sword. To defeat it, Link must move his sword around in a circle. The eye follows the sword's tip, ultimately resulting in the enemy getting dizzy, thereby defeating it. Some doors have multiple Eye Guardians, meaning Link has to find a way to simultaneously make them all dizzy.

This enemy only appears in the first dungeon of the game, Skyview Temple.

Froak

Froak is an enemy that appears in Skyward Sword. Froaks damage Link on contact using the spikes that cover their bodies. Froaks resemble a puffer fish, albeit puffer fish which can float. Link needs to use the Gust Bellows in order to blow Froaks into walls, which makes them explode. Another effective strategy is to fly the Beetle directly into them.

Sand Froak

The Sand Froak will float around aimlessly with a smooth body, but when you draw near it will shoot out the spikes surrounding its body. It will continue to float, but this time towards you, and will damage him if it makes contact. Froak will explode when attacked or killed, so the sword is not the best way to deal with them. It is better to either use a long range attack such as the Slingshot or Bow, or to use the Gust Bellows to blow them into a wall.

Water Froak

These water-based blowfish enemies can be found in Lake Floria. They are like their sand brethren, floating around almost aimlessly until you draw near. Link can kill these enemies by using a spin to hit them into a wall, causing them to explode.

Green Bokoblin

Green Bokoblin are dungeon and cave variants of the standard Red Bokoblin. They have the same amount of health as a standard bokoblin, although they do have weaker attacks.

Guay

Guay Skyward Sword.png

In Skyward Sword and its high-definition remaster, these small bird-like enemies dive-bomb Link if they spot him. When these enemies dive down toward Link, Link can Shield Bash them, causing them to be stunned and fall to the floor. Link can finish them off with the Fatal Blow. However, if Link doesn't defeat them in time, the Guays will recover and take flight once again.

They also have a secondary ability to drop spirals of manure on Link's head. This creates a noxious yellow cloud that drains hearts until he shakes it off. When the Guay is defeated, it drops either 5 or 20 rupees.

Guays can also be found in open areas of The Sky, carrying rupees. Link can fly directly into the Guay while on his Loftwing to gather these extra rupees.

Octorok

Octorok-Model-Small.png

Octorok (Grass) are octopus-like creatures that hide beneath shrub-like camouflage. When Link comes close to the Octorok, it spits out a rock that can easily be deflected with a shield bash or with Link's Sword. They can also be defeated by using the Whip to pull them out of the ground, then slashing at them with the Sword.

Skulltula

Skulltulas appear very much like their Twilight Princess predecessors. They inhabit the two dungeons in Faron Province: Skyview Temple and Ancient Cistern. They are spider-like creatures with eight legs whose main attack is to dash its body towards Link. Skulltulas appear in several different ways. Some drop down from the ceiling, others are hanging from a string, while some have full blown spider webs created to block Link's path. Link can knock down a Skulltula by breaking its string or spider web with the Beetle. Before Link obtains the Beetle, he must whack a hanging Skulltula until they spin around, revealing their weak spots.

Once a Skulltula is on the ground, Link can use his sword techniques to harm it. Once Link has sliced it with a sword attack, the Skulltula stands on its back legs, revealing its weak spot. Link can then stab the large purple jewel on its stomach to defeat the Skulltula. Alternatively, Link can flip it over by performing a Skyward Strike. At this point, Link can jump and deliver a Fatal Blow, stabbing right through its weak point.

Stalfos

The Stalfos in Skyward Sword are skeleton-like enemies that wield two large swords which they use both to block and to attack. Link must attack from specific directions that are unprotected, requiring good timing and accurate sword slashes.

Stalfos have three main attacks. They quickly swing one sword horizontally, perform a cross-chop with both swords, or raise both swords above its head in preparation for a powerful two-part attack. The Stalfos is defenseless while its swords are above its head, so this is Link's chance to run around behind it and slash away. There is also a more powerful version of Stalfos with four arms and more life called Stalmaster.

A Stalfos is the Mini-Boss of Skyview Temple. When Link returns for the Sacred Water, three appear in the room where he fought Ghirahim.

Walltula

Walltulas are enemies found in recent The Legend of Zelda games. They cling to vines and ram Link if they see him while he climbs the vines. They are easily defeated with many ranged weapons, including the Boomerang, Slingshot, Bow, and Clawshot.

Walltulas make their second and most recent appearance in Skyward Sword. They are small spiders that can be found crawling on vines. Their backs have a skull-like image, which suggests they are a part of the Skulltula family. Since they are found on walls and vines, they cannot be defeated using the Sword. Instead, Link must use a projectile weapon such as the Slingshot or Bow and Arrow. These enemies are generally found in the Faron Woods area, including the Skyview Temple, as that is where Link is most likely to find vines.

According to Fi, Walltulas live on other creatures' bodily fluids.[27] Fi also mentions that fully grown Walltulas are much more dangerous than young Walltulas,[27] suggesting that the Skulltulas found in Skyward Sword are simply fully grown Walltulas.

Eldin

Blade Trap

The Blade Traps in Skyward Sword can only be encountered when a Timeshift Stone is activated. These enemies can be found specifically in Lanayru Gorge when delivering a Timeshift Stone to Lanayru to learn the Song of the Hero.

Dark Keese

Dark Keese are another new variation of Keese that appear in Skyward Sword. They can be found in the Fire Sanctuary, Eldin Volcano, Volcano Summit, and Earth Temple. They act much like regular Keese, but if they make contact with Link, they will curse Link; making his items unusable for a few seconds. They can be defeated in the same way as their counterparts. When defeated, Dark Keese will sometimes drop an Evil Crystal.

Fire Keese

Fire Keese are a fiery variety of Keese and act similarly to their ordinary counterparts. If they get too close, they will burn Link and damage his Wooden Shield.

Lizalfos

Lizalfos in Skyward Sword resemble lizards, but also possess human-like attributes. They wield stone gauntlets, which they can use to block Link's attacks. These Lizalfos have a very defensive attack strategy. They normally dodge out of the way of any attack tried with the sword unless they are taunting Link. When taunting, they protect themselves with the stone gauntlet. If Link's sword hits the gauntlet, they will immediately attack with their tail. They can also breathe fire to damage Link. Directional slashes are necessary to hit this enemy, followed by crazed sword slashes. They can endure 9 hits with the Goddess Sword before dying.

Dark Lizalfos

Main article: Dark Lizalfos

Found in the Fire Sanctuary, Dark Lizalfos exhibit the same behavior as normal Lizalfos, except they are faster, and breath dark smoke which curses Link, making him unable to draw his sword or use any items for a short amount of time.

Magma Spume is an enemy that appears in Skyward Sword. They are found exclusively in the Earth Temple. It is one of the three variations of the Spume family, along with the Cursed Spume and Electro Spume. They sit with their eyes sticking out of the lava to detect any danger nearby. As they are cowardly by nature, the Magma Spume flees if Link comes close to it.

The Magma Spume spits out flaming projectiles at Link, which Link cannot deflect with the Sword or Shield; instead, he can only defeat it by using projectile weapons such as Arrows or performing the Skyward Strike at it two times. One strike with the Sword also takes the Magma Spume down, though it is very rare Link can do that. Another simple way to defeat it is to just use the rolling stone balls inside the dungeon to crush it.

Moldorm

Moldorms in Skyward Sword can be found in the Fire Sanctuary, Sky Keep, and an island in the Thunderhead. After digging underground with his Mogma Mitts, Link can find them crawling around in a continuous circle. If they spot Link, they'll charge at him immediately, causing a small amount of damage. Their backside is their sole weak point.

Pyrup

Pyrups are tiny seal-like creatures that make high-pitched sounds and hide inside walls or beneath rocks in Skyward Sword. They have a single antenna hanging from its head, the function of it is presumably to act as a radar. They attack by spraying a line of fire towards Link, and can also obstruct his path in this manner. They can be defeated by throwing a Bomb into the hole in the wall they hide in or the rock they hide beneath, defeating the enemy in the process.

Red Chuchu

Red ChuChus take on a new shape in this game, appearing more as rounded blobs than standing up creatures. Their mouth takes up almost all of their body, and the larger ChuChus can be split into smaller ChuChus before they are defeated. The Red ChuChu also has a new ability: fire. Red ChuChus in Skyward Sword have fire embedded into their gelatin, making them extremely hot. If Link gets touched by one of the Red ChuChus, he will be set on fire and will have to roll on the ground or do a Spin Attack to put the fire out.

Lanayru

Ampilus

Ampilus are enemies from Skyward Sword.[28]

Ampilus is an unusual crab-like desert-dwelling enemy whose only mode of attack is rolling at Link with its electrically-charged shell . On the inside of its hard spiral shell is a soft crab. The simplest way to defeat the Ampilus is by blowing it up with a Bomb. The other way to defeat the Ampilus is to stun it by either shield bashing it or leading it into a wall. Once it is stunned, Link can easily destroy it by hitting it with his Sword. When defeated, it drops 5 Rupees. When surfacing on streams of sink-sand, Link can defeat it and get on top of its shell to reach areas that he cannot reach without aid.

When caught in a Timeshift Stone-affected area, Ampilus turn into Ampilus Eggs that can only harm Link when he is holding them.

Ampilus Egg

Ampilus Eggs are enemies found in Skyward Sword.

Ampilus Eggs have the ability to give off electricity, allowing them to shock Link if he comes into contact with them while they are electrified. Link can use these enemies to power the generators within Lanayru Desert during his mission to uncover the Lanayru Mining Facility. Ampilus grow from their larval stage of the Ampilus Egg very slowly. This is why the Timeshift Stones are able to convert them from one form to another without making them disappear in the past like all other monsters that are from the present.

Since the Ampilus Eggs give off an electric charge, Link should use the Hook Beetle to transport the egg. Sword slashes and throwing can also be used when the egg is not giving off a charge, but these tactics are riskier, especially in hero mode when they deal more damage.

Ampilus Eggs cannot be killed. The hard outer shell protects the soft body on the inside.

Aracha

Arachas are enemies from Skyward Sword.[29]

They resemble small scorpions with one eye that can be found in various areas around Lanayru Province. Their only attack is to jump on to Link. Shake both controllers to shake them off. One Aracha is not so bad, but packs of them can cause a real problem. When confronted by a pack, Link can use the Gust Bellows to stun them. Then, a hit with his sword will finish them off. They can be found crawling around, in piles of sand, or crawling on vines. According to Fi, Aracha can live for a thousand years and grow to immense sizes, implying that the boss of the Lanayru Mining Facility, Thousand-Year Arachnid Moldarach, is an overgrown Aracha, possibly the forbearer of the larvae in the rest of the dungeon.

Armos

Armos are statues found in various areas throughout the Lanayru Province. To defeat them, Link must use the Gust Bellows to spin the colored screw on top of their head, opening their mouth. From here, Link can slash the crystal inside their mouth, or place a bomb inside to kill them.

Beamos

Beamos are multi-layered, totem pole-like objects found within the Lanayru Mining Facility and Sandship made up of two to three different electrified parts. The head of the Beamos turns in a mechanical way, as opposed to a fluent turning motion. These enemies can be defeated by horizontally slicing apart different sections of their body, and then stabbing the eye. Alternatively, Link can simply shoot an arrow into its eye with his Bow. The Beamos will shoot out a laser beam from its eye dealing electrical damage and temporarily paralyzing Link, but this attack can be deflected using a non-metal shield, like the Wooden, Sacred, or Hylian Shield.

Electro Spume

Electro Spume is an enemy that Link encounters in Lanayru Province in Skyward Sword. They are part of the Spume family, along with the Magma Spume and Cursed Spume. This type of Spume can be found in areas with quicksand, where they only have their eyes sticking out from underneath the sand. When Link gets close enough, the Electro Spume spits a piece of electric energy at Link. This destroys all of the Shields in the Iron family. Link can defeat this enemy by either throwing or rolling a Bomb in its direction.

Hrok

Hroks are bird enemies that appear in Skyward Sword. They are large birds found within the Lanayru Desert. They sit perched on top of dead trees, and take off if Link or the Beetle approaches them. To attack, they fly above Link and attempt to drop a boulder on him.

Since they never land on the ground, Link must use a projectile weapon to defeat them. Link can pick up a Bomb Flower with the Beetle and either drop it on the Hrok from above or run into it from behind. Later in the game, Link can shoot them down from a distance with his Bow and Arrows. When a Hrok is defeated, they drop a Red Rupee, which is worth 20 Rupees.

Octorok (Rock)

Octoroks are now land creatures and they seem to resemble their counterparts from older 2D Zelda titles. They also have some similarities to Deku Scrubs from previous Zelda games. Octoroks shoot rocks toward Link, but whenever Link comes close, they hide under patches of grass or rock. In order to defeat an Octorok, Link can deflect the rocks back by lunging his shield forward knocking the rock back towards the enemy. Link can also use the Whip to pull the Octorok up from underground for a short period of time, allowing him to slash away with the Sword.

Very similar to its Grass counterpart, the Octorok (Rock) shoots projectile rocks at Link from a distance which he must deflect using his Shield or Sword. This version of the Octorok resides in the Lanayru Province. Unlike its counterpart, this Octorok has a mushroom-shaped rock atop its head, which it can hide under if Link ventures too close.

Peahat

In Skyward Sword, Peahats are not as much of an enemy, but instead are very similar to their Twilight Princess counterparts. They act as Clawshot targets, and are found within the Lanayru Desert region, in the Eldin Volcano region after it has erupted and is at normalcy, and when in Faron Woods when the woods are flooded. Because of the fact that they are moving Clawshot targets, it can be quite challenging to grab hold of them. The most difficult Peahats to latch on to are found in Skipper's Retreat, where, along with the constant moving, there are Furnixes there to make it even harder.

Technoblin

The Technoblin is a more advanced version of the Bokoblin found in Lanayru Desert in Skyward Sword. They fight using lost technology found in the desert, including electric powered swords. One should be sure not to strike their sword with something metallic, or said person will receive a shock and be temporarily left open to any incoming attacks. Link must take much more caution than when dealing with regular Bokoblins, as he will be damaged if he hits the Technoblin's sword.

Thunder Keese

Thunder Keese are enemies that appear in Skyward Sword. They reside in the Lanayru Mining Facility and Sandship. Thunder Keese follow similar attack patterns to normal Keese; but they can generate electricity, used for shocking their enemies. They can be defeated in the same way as their counterparts, save that Link must wait until the sparking stops to strike.

Sentrobe

Sentrobes are flying robotic enemies that can be encountered within Skyward Sword. They are armed with a cannon that fires projectiles. Their hull has two large parts on each side of its cannon, presumably making them invulnerable by horizontal sword slashes. Deflecting their attacks with a simple shield bash results in them attacking Link with Sentrobe Bombs. The Sentrobe itself will not come within reach of Link's Sword. Once destroyed, the Sentrobe drops a large crop of Rupees. It can be assumed that they were made by the same civilization that built the Lanayru Mining Facility as a defense mechanism.

Sentrobe Bomb

The Sentrobe Bombs are small sphere-shaped objects with spinning propellers on top. Two are sent out at a time by the Sentrobe, one with a blue vertical line and one with a horizontal line across their bodies. Link must slash the bombs in their respective directions using the Sword. If Link waits too long, the bombs explode in his face, dealing damage. The Sentrobe Bombs are quite small and float in front of Link's face until destroyed.

Yellow Chuchu

Yellow ChuChus are found in Lanayru Mine, Lanayru Desert, Lanayru Mining Facility, Lanayru Sand Sea, and Sandship. This ChuChus are especially dangerous because of the electrical charge they give off in addition to attempting to absorb Link. If you strike the ChuChu while it is electrically charged Link will be shocked and loose a heart. To not take damage, Link must only attack them when they are not electrified.
