Fire Arrows are recurring arrows in The Legend of Zelda series. They do more damage than regular arrows, melt ice, and light enemies on fire. In many games where they appear, Fire Arrows require Magic Power from the Magic Meter to use.

Ocarina of Time

In Ocarina of Time, Fire Arrows are found in the future at Lake Hylia after completing the Water Temple. They are on the tip of a small island with two small pillars. On the central island, there is a stone tablet with the following inscribed,"When water fills the lake, shoot for the morning light". Shooting an arrow at the rising sun causes the Fire Arrows to appear on the small island. They take two points of Magic Power each. The Fire Arrows do as much damage as a jump attack with the Master Sword or one slash with Biggoron's Sword.

Majora's Mask

In Majora's Mask, Fire Arrows are the dungeon item of the Snowhead Temple. To acquire them, Link must defeat a Wizzrobe. The Fire Arrows work the same as they did in Ocarina of Time, but if they are shot at a Gibdo, instead of doing the regular damage, it turns them into ReDeads. Fire Arrows in Majora's Mask are required to complete the game.

The Wind Waker

In The Wind Waker, Fire Arrows are not acquired until Link learns the Ballad of Gales for teleportation. Once the song is learned, Link must warp to the Mother and Child Isles. When Link arrives there, he falls into the "Mother" island and has a conversation with the Queen of Fairies. She gives the Fire Arrows to Link, along with the Ice Arrows. The primary purpose of the Fire Arrows is to gain access to Ice Ring Isle to obtain the Iron Boots, an item required to enter the Wind Temple.

Breath of the Wild

Fire Arrows can be found in chests, bought in shops, and looted from enemies. These arrows can light most enemies on fire, and are very powerful against ice-elemental enemies, such as Ice Wizzrobes.

Non-Canon Appearances

This section describes a subject that is or may be outside the core Zelda canon.

Cadence of Hyrule

In Cadence of Hyrule, Fire Arrows are alternate arrows that can be found after obtaining the Bow. Using stamina and an arrow, Fire Arrows can burn tree stumps and enemies, light torches, and melt ice. Fire Arrows stop when they hit a tall object or an enemy.
