Ice Wizzrobes are recurring enemies in The Legend of Zelda series.

Four Swords

Ice Wizzrobes are one of three Wizzrobe variations in Four Swords. They wear blue robes and shoot ice attacks at Link. They will appear and warp around the room very frequently. The Ice Wizzrobe will launch two ice attacks at the same time, launching them in a v-shape in the direction that its facing. Thus, standing right in front of an Ice Wizzrobe and a bit further back is actually a safe zone.

If Link gets hit with an ice attack, he will be dealt a half heart of damage and will be frozen. To unfreeze, Link will need to mash buttons to free himself. Alternatively another Link can slash at a frozen Link to free him. However, if the other Link gets too close, he will freeze as well, but won't actually take any damage. Link can defeat an Ice Wizzrobe with five slashes from his Sword.

The Minish Cap

Ice Wizzrobes in The Minish Cap don a blue robe similar to their Four Swords appearance. They warp around the room, although much slower than their Four Swords counterpart. They will shoot ice beams in the same direction that they have facing when they spawn. They first appear deap within the Palace of Winds. The Ice Wizzrobe can be defeated with three slashes from the White Sword. Link can wait until the Ice Wizzrobe has spawned and side step its ice beam, leaving it vulnerable for a few moments before it teleports. To make it safer to get closer in, Link can use the Boomerang to first stun the Wizzrobe. Alternatively, Link can instantly defeat an Ice Wizzrobe by using the Flame Lantern.

Breath of the Wild

Ice-wizzrobe.jpg

The Ice Wizzrobes are often found near ruins in Breath of the Wild and can be heard by their footsteps in the air. They will attack Link with icy projectiles and summon Ice Keese or a small Ice ChuChu, and if given the chance, will change the weather in the area to a much colder temperature. Once their 150 HP is depleted they will drop an Ice Rod.

If Link is hit by a burst of freezing air from the Ice Wizzrobe, he will be frozen and unable to move for a short amount of time unless he has the Unfreezable bonus from Zant's Helmet or an upgraded Snowquill Set.

A fire weapon such as a Fire Arrow can be used on an Ice Wizzrobe to defeat it in one hit.

Age of Calamity

In Age of Calamity, Ice Wizzrobes are common enemies, first appearing in the Road to the Ancient Lab, the second scenario in the game. They will shoot ice attacks from their Ice Rod which can freeze nearby warriors. Upon dodging their attacks, their weak-point gauge will appear, allowing for an opening for the warrior to defeat them. Once they are defeated, an Ice Wizzrobe will drop small ice orbs, which are used as ammunition for the warriors Ice Rod.

For every Ice Wizzrobe that is defeated, the player will receive a Wizzrobe Trophy, which can be used to complete quests or upgrade weapons of the various warriors.

Tears of the Kingdom

This Tears of the Kingdom section is a stub. You can help the Zelda Dungeon Wiki by expanding it.

"These spell-casting monsters can be found all over Hyrule. They create freezing blasts of air, summon frozen monsters, and have been known to cause blizzards to severely decrease the temperature around them. The weather will normalize once the Wizzrobe is defeated."

— Hyrule Compendium entry

The Ice Wizzrobes are often found near ruins in Tears of the Kingdom, particularly in colder climates. They can be heard by their footsteps in the air.

If Link is hit by a burst of freezing air from the Ice Wizzrobe, he will be frozen and unable to move for a short amount of time.

A fire weapon such as a Fire Arrow can be used on an Ice Wizzrobe to defeat it in one hit.
