Rugged Rhino Beetle (076 in the standard Breath of the Wild Hyrule Compendium) is an insect found in Breath of the Wild and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.
Breath of the Wild
"This beetle's hard body resembles armor. When the shell is cooked with monster parts, the resulting elixir boosts your defense."
Rugged Rhino Beetles can typically be found on the sides of trees around Hyrule, most commonly in the forests of Faron. These beetles are most plentiful in the forested area southeast of Floria Bridge. They can be sold to shop-vendors all over Hyrule for 4 Rupees each. Cooking them with monster parts results in an Elixir which temporarily increases Link's base defense. If Link cooks a Rugged Rhino Beetle along with other ingredients, it will result in Dubious Food.
Age of Calamity
"This beetle's hard body resembles armor. Consuming it is believed to strengthen the core."
Tears of The Kingdom
"This beetle's hard body resembles armor. When the shell is cooked with monster parts, the resulting elixir boosts your defense."
Rugged Rhino Beetles can typically be found on the sides of trees around Hyrule, most commonly in the forests of Necluda, though they appear much more rarely in this game. They are best encountered immediately after defeating Evermeans anywhere in Hyrule, which have a chance to drop any kind of beetle. They can be sold to shop-vendors all over Hyrule for 4 Rupees each.
