Dactos are enemies from A Link to the Past and A Link Between Worlds.[1] They act as the Dark World and Lorulean counterparts of the Crow.

A Link to the Past

Though not officially named in A Link to the Past, Dactos appear as orange pterosaur-like enemies with fangs and a single horn on their head. They perch atop the trees in the Dark World until Link approaches, at which point they will persistently attempt to fly into him until they are defeated or Link moves into the next screen or uses the Pegasus Boots to run away far enough from them to make them disappear.

Dactos are rather dangerous enemies, as they are highly persistent and their attacks are capable of inflicting three full hearts of damage. They are also somewhat durable, requiring two strikes from the Master Sword to be defeated.

Link's Awakening DX and Oracle of Seasons

Main article: Raven

In Link's Awakening and Oracle of Seasons, similar enemies appear known as Ravens. These more closely resemble Crows and have similar behavior.

A Link Between Worlds

Dactos appear in A Link Between Worlds much like their predecessors in A Link to the Past. They maintain a dinosaur-like look and only appear in Lorule. They often appear in areas surrounding dungeons. Dactos have the exact same attack pattern as Crows, and can be easily defeated with the sword.
