Hearty Durian

Hearty Durian (165 in the standard Breath of the Wild Hyrule Compendium) is a natural material found in Breath of the Wild and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.

However, it is one of only two food materials from Breath of the Wild not present in Tears of the Kingdom (the other is Hearty Blueshell Snail).

Breath of the Wild

A Hearty Durian tree in the Faron rainforest.

"This fruit's mighty odor has earned it the nickname "king of fruits." It offers immense restorative powers; dishes cooked with it will temporarily increase your maximum hearts."

— In-game description

A Hearty Durian can be eaten to recover 3 hearts, and can sold to shop-vendors all over Hyrule for 15 Rupees each. They typically grow on trees in the Faron region, particularly in the area surrounding Lake Floria, but they are sometimes stored inside of Crates in close proximity to Bokoblin Camps. Hearty Durians can be used in many Recipes, and they have a cooking effect of providing extra hearts. An excellent recipe uses five Hearty Durians, which provides effects including full healing, plus an extra 20 hearts. You can also cook one Hearty Durian alone for a full health restoration with +4 extra hearts.

If cooked on an open flame by itself, Link will receive a Roasted Hearty Durian.

Age of Calamity

"This fruit's mighty odor has earned it the nickname "king of fruits." It offers immense restorative powers."
