Hot-Footed Frog is a common material found in Breath of the Wild and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.

Breath of the Wild

"A quick frog that can be found hopping around near water. Cook it with monster parts to draw out its speed-boost effect."

— In-game description

Hot-Footed Frogs can be sold to shop-vendors all over Hyrule for 2 Rupees each. Cooking them with monster parts results in a speed-boosting elixir. They can also be used for Green Dye at the Kochi Dye Shop.

Locations

Hot-Footed Frogs can typically be found in shallow bodies of water around Hyrule such as around Lanayru Great Spring or Hyrule Ridge. They are very commonly found in the shallow water at the Irch Plain, found just northwest of Hyrule Castle.

Cooking

Hot-Footed Frogs can be cooked alongside monster parts to create Elixirs. The Hot-Footed Frog will give Link a Speed enhancement. When cooked with a monster part that has no specific enhancement, such as a Bokoblin Horn, Link will create a Hasty Elixir. This will temporarily boost Links movement speed. If Link cooks the Hot-Footed Frog along with food, it will result in Link making Dubious Food.

Enhancements

This material can be used to enhance Link's Armor in the game. In particular, Hot-Footed Frogs can be used to enhance the Climbing Set.

The Level 3 upgrades of the Climber's Bandanna, Climbing Gear, and Climbing Boots each require ten Hot-Footed Frogs, along with five Ice Keese Wings.

Silent Princess Memory

During the "Silent Princess" Recovered Memory, Princess Zelda will find a Hot-Footed Frog. She explains to link that eating a Hot-Footed Frog can increase certain abilities and she encourages Link to try it out.[1]

Age of Calamity

"A quick frog that can be found hopping around near water. It is said to improve movement speed."

— In-game description
