White Sword

The White Sword is a recurring item in The Legend of Zelda series.

The Legend of Zelda

"MASTER USING IT AND YOU CAN HAVE THIS."

In The Legend of Zelda, the White Sword can be found in a Cave in northeast Hyrule, near a waterfall and guarded by a Lynel. Inside, Link will find an Old Man, who will give him the White Sword if he has at least five Heart Containers.

Once obtained, the White Sword replaces Link's regular Sword. It deals double damage compared to the Sword, making it very versatile against most of the enemies Link will encounter in the game, and is possible to obtain before completing Level 1: The Eagle. It can later be replaced with the Magical Sword.

The Minish Cap

In The Minish Cap, the White Sword is the second sword that Link obtains, replacing the Smith's Sword. After the Picori Blade is destroyed by Vaati, Link is eventually able to reforge it by giving the Broken Picori Blade to Melari in the Cave of Flames; Upon clearing the dungeon, Link receives the White Sword.

The White Sword deals double damage compared to the Smith's Sword. As Link gathers the Four Elements, he infuses them with the White Sword, upgrading it. In Hyrule Warriors, the White Sword is the Level 2 variation of the Hylian Sword. It is paired with its own, original shield, and is directly based off of promotional artwork for The Legend of Zelda.

Additionally, an 8-Bit White Sword, based on its appearance in The Legend of Zelda, appears in-game as a variation of the Rapier. In the Wii U version, it is found in the Master Quest Map, while in Hyrule Warriors Legends and Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition, it is a cosmetic appearance for the Gleaming Rapier + and Gloomy Rapier when "8-Bit Weapons" is turned on.
