Non-Canon Appearances
BS The Legend of Zelda
The Special Boomerang is available only as a temporary upgrade to the boomerang or Magical Boomerang, granted by the Old Man twice - between the 45 and 55 minute marks of Week 3, and from 40 minutes in until the end of Week 4. Unlike the standard boomerangs, it kills enemies; but it also does not stun enemies which are not killed in one hit.
Trivia
- Several fan translation patches refer to the Special Boomerang as the "Mighty Boomerang." The name "Special Boomerang" comes from the narration of the original broadcast, with the words pronounced in English despite the broadcast being in Japanese.<ref name="namesource" />
