"A basic two-handed sword often wielded by aspiring adventurers. Its immense weight can knock enemies' shields right out of their hands."
The Traveler's Claymore is a two-handed sword found in Breath of the Wild, Age of Calamity, and Tears of the Kingdom.
Appearances
Breath of the Wild
A Traveler's Claymore has a base power of 10, and is often wielded by Moblins around the Great Plateau. It is a heavy weapon, and as a result it has a rather slow use time. It appears to be a larger version of the Traveler's Sword, but with a much larger blade and grip to enable it to be held with two hands.
Early in the quest, when Link is on the Great Plateau, he can find a Traveler's Claymore inside of a treasure chest, located in the Ja Baij Shrine. With a strength of just 10 units, it is one of the weakest two-handed weapons in the game. However, it is stronger than the Woodcutter's Axe and some of the basic two-handed weapons wielded by Bokoblin and Moblin. However, once beyond the early stages of the game, the Traveler's Claymore quickly becomes an obsolete weapon and should only be used if it is the only item Link has in hits inventory.

Traveler's Claymores are a weapon type available only to Link, used with his Two-Handed Weapon moveset.
As a weapon for Link, it is the only Hylia Series Claymore not used by King Rhoam in Age of Calamity.

The Traveler's Claymore returns in Tears of the Kingdom and has the same strength and durability as that of Breath of the Wild[citation needed]. A Decayed Traveler's Claymore can also be found, which has both reduced strength and durability.
