The Mini-Boss is a special enemy, that is not regarded as a regular enemy or the boss that appears in a dungeon, generally midway through of it, that Link must defeat. When Link has defeated the mini-boss he is rewarded with an item which is often the dungeon item eg. the Boomerang. On some occasions there will not be a mini-boss in a dungeon at all and very rarely more than one mini-boss appears in a dungeon.
