Dueling Peaks

The Dueling Peaks is a split mountain in Breath of the Wild & Tears of the Kingdom, located just east of the Dueling Peaks Tower.

Breath of the Wild

Mountain Range

The area is identified by its most prominent landmark, the Dueling Peaks Mountain Range. The pair of mountains has a narrow divide in between them where there is a road, right alongside the Squabble River. At one point in time, the Dueling Peaks were a single mountain, but were split into two by a dragon god living in Hyrule to help forge a way through. It is believes that the dragon Farosh, who appears near Lake Floria is the dragon that separated the mountain.[1] Now the area is split into the North Dueling Peaks and Dueling Peaks South.

Atop the two mountain peaks, there are two sister shrines, the Shee Vaneer Shrine and Shee Venath Shrine. These two shrines and their corresponding monks are mirrored versions of one another, requiring Link to enter one of them first to find the solution to the other.

Tower Region

It has been suggested that this section be split into a new article (Dueling Peaks Tower Region). If this has already been done, this section may become a summary, and this notice should be removed.

  • Just below the northern peak, place the blocks in their proper spot to get the Korok Seed.
  • Northwest of the northern peak, at a lower elevation, there is a balloon in a tree. Shoot it to get the Korok Seed.
  • At the bottom of Dueling Peaks, by the Squabble River, Link will find a Korok on the south end of the river who wants to reunite with his friend. Use Ultrahand and carry him to his friend on the north side of the river to get two Korok Seeds. Link can do this by dropping the Korok on one of the rocks found within the river.
  • At Northern Dueling Peaks, there is a group of trees just to the east. Stand by the pinwheel and shoot the balloons to get the Korok Seed.
  • At the very top of the south peak, step on the tree stump. Quickly run over to the target to get the Korok Seed.
  • East of the southern peak, at a much lower elevation, about halfway down the mountain, there is a cork stuck in a stump. Attach the other end of the cork to the heavy rock nearby and drop it off the cliff to pull the cork out and get the Korok Seed.

  1. So on this map of yours, do you see Dueling Peaks to the north of here? Well, apparently that used to be just one mountain a really long time ago. The legends say a dragon god split the mountain in half to forge a way through, and that's how it went from one to two. Recently, some are even saying they've seen the shadow of a large creature on the surface of Lake Floria! I wonder if any of that is true... - Shay
