Zombies are undead creatures that have only appeared in Link's Awakening. Zombies will crawl out of the ground and quickly come at Link.[1] These enemies are found around the Cemetery area of Koholint Island.[2] After walking a few steps, the Zombie will go underground again. Link must keep walking, quickly turn around, and slice his sword to easily defeat a Zombie.[3] Zombies will continually rise up from the graves and attack Link until he leaves the screen.[4]
