The Dark wizard Agahnim is a priest, who, by unknown circumstances was possessed by Ganon the king of thieves. Ganon hoped that, by using Agahnim, he could break the seal that was put on him by the seven wise men, whom are synonymous with the seven sages. Many believe this is the very same seal from Ocarina of Time.

This man is an expert locksmith and ex-thief who is found near the entrance to the Desert of Mystery in the Southwestern corner of the Light World. He has black hair and a mustache and wears a yellow long-sleeved shirt with light red overalls. He sits next to a sign that tells people who see him to ignore him and to leave him alone. If Link  attempts to speak to him he refuses and if Link picks up his sign, the man will follow him around annoyed by what he did.

He warms up to Link later on when he sees him carrying around a treasure chest that has the key to it locked inside. He picks the lock on the chest which gives Link access to the Magic Bottle that is found inside. In return,  he makes Link promise not to tell anyone who he really is and everytime he speaks to the Hero afterwards, he reminds him of his promise. He is last seen during the ending behind the Desert Palace using his lockpicking skills to open some treasure chests.

The bomb merchant is a green alien-looking guy who has a snout like an anteater that he uses to puff air out of. His place of business is located in a building in the Dark World where Link's house is at in the Light World.

Just as his name implies, he sells bombs and will come up with a more explosive bomb later called the Super Bomb. This bomb is a huge, red bomb and costs 100 rupees. Link must use this bomb to gain access to the Mysterious Pond inside of the Pyramid of Power and talk to the [[Cursed Fairy]] and she'll grant him the Silver Arrows and the Golden Sword, if he throws his sword into the water.

Link meets this strange pair when he first enters the Dark World via a portal on top of Death Mountain near Spectacle Rock and the Tower of Hera. The two became trapped in the Dark World during their search for the Golden Power and because they didn't get the Moon Pearl from the Tower, they changed into a form that best represents themselves.

The Bully changed into a monstrous creature with sharp teeth, a horn on top of his head, and dark skin. His appearance was because of his nature as a bully. His friend became a pink mushroom-shaped ball with two feet. The reason for his appearance was because of his tendency to always change his mind on things. The two spend their time in the Dark World with the Bully chasing and kicking his Friend due to his anger at the situation and the Friend attempting to run away from him with no luck.

When they first speak to Link before he has the Moon Pearl and his appearance is that of a pink bunny, the Bully makes fun of Link's looks and tells him to back off because he's mad at what he's become and hates that he didn't get the Moon Pearl first. The Friend explains to Link why everyone changes shapes when they enter the Dark World and that to prevent that change one must have the Moon Pearl in his possession.

After Link gets the Moon Pearl from the Tower of Hera and returns to the area where the two are, their reactions are different in that they are both surprised at his original form and that he now has the Moon Pearl. At the end of the game, the two friends are found back in the Light World in their true forms on top of Death Mountain. The Bully is still chasing his Friend, but this time it doesn't involve him kicking him around relentlessly, it is instead them just hanging out as friends should.

To play the game, Link must pay 80 rupees and depending on whether or not Link has the Shovel, the operator may or may not provide him with the shovel he is holding. }}These guys are two men who reside in the far right side of Kakariko Village and work as swordsmiths for a living. They discourage people from attempting to temper a sword on their own seeing as they are the only professionals around. When Link first goes to meet them, he only finds one of the swordsmiths at the house, tinkering away at a piece of metal. He tells Link that he can't temper his sword at the moment because his partner has not returned.

After Link obtains the Titan's Mitt from Thieves' Town dungeon and heads to the southern part of the Village of Outcasts, he will find a strange frog who is trapped behind some black stones. Using the Mitt, Link removes the stones that are in the way in order to set him free. After Link talks to him, he finds out that the frog is the missing swordsmith. The frog then requests that Link take him back home.

Using the Magic Mirror, Link transports the two back to the Light World and takes the other swordsmith (who is now back to normal) to his home. Once there, the two swordsmiths are overjoyed to have found each other and as a reward they offer to temper Link's sword the next time he comes by. When Link comes by again, the two are ready to temper his sword. They give him a big discount and let him pay only 10 rupees as a thank you and with the Hero's permission they begin their work. Once Link returns once more he finds that the sword has been tempered in a red and much more powerful sword than he had before.

}}This young man is a citizen of [[Kakariko Village]] who has been missing for some time. He has a father who greatly misses him and wishes that he would return. He loved the play the Flute in the field near the village with the animals listening before he disappeared. Despite his disappearance, his "ghost" appears in the same field atop a stump located in the center. He will play the Flute for the animals surrounding him and when Link gets too close to him, the ghost will disappear and the animals will scatter.

After Link gets sent to the Dark World by Agahnim, he encounters the real Flute Boy who is found in the Dark World's version of the field. He has the appearance of a tree-like creature and he longs to return to the Light World and see his father again. Seeing Link, he asks him to go back to the Light World to find his Flute. He gives him a Shovel to use to find it since he buried it with some seeds before he left to search for the Golden Power.

Respecting his wish, Link uses the Magic Mirror to travel back to the Light World and begins digging in the flowers of that field he used to be in to find the Flute. He finally finds it in one of the flower patches in the top left corner of the field. With the Flute in his possession, he returns to the Dark World and shows the boy his Flute. The boy is happy to see it and finds that he can't play it anymore. He asks Link to play it for him as he knows that his time is coming soon and he wants to hear the notes that he once played on the Flute one last time. After Link finishes playing, the boy slowly turns into a tree and because of this his spirit is unable to continue reappearing in the Light World anymore.
