Fierce Deity Sword

The Fierce Deity Sword is the sword used by Fierce Deity Link in Majora's Mask and Hyrule Warriors. It is also available as an amiibo-exclusive weapon in Breath of the Wild and as a legacy Zelda weapon that can be found in Tears of the Kingdom.

Majora's Mask

Fierce-Deity-Link-MM64-Art.png

The Fierce Deity Sword is the sole weapon of Fierce Deity Link in Majora's Mask. The sword fires Sword Beams, which consume magic, when Link locks on to a target. The sword can only be obtained and used when Link wears the Fierce Deity's Mask.

Direct hits from either the sword or the beam do four times the damage of the Kokiri Sword, making either strike as powerful as the Great Fairy's Sword. These attacks can be stacked together to do a total of eight times the damage of the Kokiri Sword, effectively making it the most powerful sword in the game.

Tri Force Heroes

Fierce Deity - TFH.png

When Link is wearing the Fierce Deity Armor (Fierce Deity Mail in PAL versions) in Tri Force Heroes, he gains a one-handed version of the Fierce Deity Sword. At full health, it sends out four Sword Beams with every swipe, one in each compass direction; and does so with a Spin Attack even when not at full health.

Breath of the Wild

— In-game description
Fierce-deity-sword.png

The Fierce Deity Sword is an amiibo exclusive weapon found in Breath of the Wild. It has a base attack of 60 (making it the most powerful amiibo melee weapon in the game) and a base durability of 35, and can be obtained by scanning the Link - Majora's Mask amiibo. Scanning the amiibo will drop various items from the sky, along with a treasure chest, which has a chance of containing the Fierce Deity Sword, but can also contain different items, such as the pieces of the Fierce Deity Set. The amiibo can only be scanned once per day.

The sword itself is a two-handed weapon. It represents the sword used by Fierce Deity Link in Majora's Mask.

Required amiibo

Tears of the Kingdom

In Tears of the Kingdom, the Fierce Deity Sword is the reward for completing the Misko's Treasure: The Fierce Deity sidequest, which requires Link to obtain all three pieces of the Fierce Deity set, which can be found either in caves across Hyrule or by scanning the Link (Majora's Mask) amiibo. With the full set obtained, Link will have to wear it in the Cephla Lake Cave, which will allow a hidden door to open to the room containing the sword. It can subsequently be bought from any Bargainer Statue in the Depths for 160 Poes. The sword itself can also be obtained by scanning Link (Majora's Mask) amiibo.

Non-Canon Appearances

This section describes a subject that is or may be outside the core Zelda canon.

Hyrule Warriors

Fiercemask.png

When Young Link uses his Mask and the power in his Magic gauge to transform into Fierce Deity Link, his Kokiri Sword transforms into the Fierce Deity Sword. The higher-level versions of the Mask (Furious Deity Mask, Vengeful Deity Mask, Inflamed Deity Mask) use more elaborate versions of the base design for the sword.
