Secret Medicine can be purchased from Crazy Tracy in her spa[1] or, in Link's Awakening DX and the Nintendo Switch remake, occasionally found in treasure chests. The price varies between 28 Rupees and 42 Rupees depending on wether the amount of monster defeated by link is even or odd respectively.[2][3] On every 8th purchase she only charges link 7 Rupees.[4] After Link purchases it, she helps him apply it and also refills his hearts as a bonus.[5]

In this version, if he finds Secret Medicine in a chest while he already has some on, he will put it back for later retrieval.
