Peahat

Peahats are one of the more common enemies in The Legend of Zelda Series, as they have appeared in nearly every Zelda game to date. They resemble a flower-like creature that can fly using it leaves.

Appearances

The Legend of Zelda

Peahats can be found throughout the overworld in The Legend of Zelda. These pesky enemies will spin around and move rapidly around the screen. While spinning Peahats cannot be harmed and should be avoided if possible. After spinning for a short while, a Peahat will come to a stop, in which it is vulnerable to sword attacks from Link.

Ocarina of Time

		Peahat Its weak point is its roots!

Peahats in Ocarina of Time are stationary around Hyrule Field. When Link approaches one, it will wake up, and fly towards you, showing its roots. Said roots are their weak points. Link can either slash with the Kokiri Sword or simply shoot it with the Slingshot. If Link wanders Hyrule Field at night, the Peahats will not wake up; however, if you slash at one, it will send out Peahat Larva, which can be destroyed just by holding out his shield. A smaller version of Peahat called Peahat Larva also can be found in this game.

Majora's Mask

		Don't tell me you don't know about the Pea Hat! Just remember that its root area is soft!

There is only one Peahat in Majora's Mask. And that is going to a hidden hole somewhere in the tall grass near the Southern Swamp and Milk Road in Termina Field. Going to this hole will reveal a Peahat with the same functions as the Peahat in Ocarina of Time. However, it is required to defeat this Peahat to get a Piece of Heart.

The Minish Cap

There are two different varieties of Peahat found within The Minish Cap. The red ones are first encountered in the Eastern Hills and they share similar attributes to previous incarnations of the enemy. Link will need to use the Gust Jar to stun the enemy, at which point two sword slashes will defeat a peahat.

Peahat
	Appears on Mount Crenel, etc. These strange beasts hover on propellers-like leaves. You can pull them out of the sky with your Gust Jar.

Twilight Princess

Peahats in Twilight Princess acts differently than other incarnations of Peahat in other Zelda games. In this game, Peahats do not harm the hero, as it can be used as Clawshot targets. Peahats only appear in Gerudo Desert, and the seventh dungeon of the game, the City in the Sky.

Skyward Sword

		Target lock: Peahat At first glance, this looks like any other plant species, but the Peahat has a unique ability to fly when the flower on its top is pulled off with a whip.

Peahats can be found within the Lanayru Desert region, when Eldin Volcano has erupted and is at normalcy, and when Faron Woods is at its flooded state. In Skyward Sword, they seem to have similar characters as their Twilight Princess incarnations. Link can use the Clawshots to grab onto them and hang down.
