The Gold Ball and Chain Soldier[1] is a variant of the Ball and Chain Soldier, found in A Link to the Past, A Link Between Worlds, and Tri Force Heroes.
A Link to the Past
In A Link to the Past, the enemy is known as a Ball and Chain Trooper and is encountered within the Hyrule Castle Tower, which is the higher level of Hyrule Castle. A pair of Gold Ball and Chain Soldiers appear in the second room of the Hyrule Castle Tower, with a third one appear later in the dungeon. These enemies function identical to their Grey Counterparts.
A Link Between Worlds
In A Link Between Worlds, these enemies first appear within Hyrule Castle. They have similar characterists as they did in A Link to the Past, in which they whip around a large ball and chain. Link can quickly run in and deliver a sword slash to attack the enemy, or use a long-range weapon to prevent taking damage. These enemies later appear within the Treacherous Tower.
Tri Force Heroes
In Tri Force Heroes, the Ball and Chain Soldier has a very similar appearance to their A Link Between Worlds counterparts. Some of them have a flame surrounding their ball that they swing around, with these enemies known as Sky Fire Chain Soldiers.
