Wisps are enemies in The Minish Cap. Similarly to Anti-Fairies or Bubbles, they appear to be skulls surrounded by fire.

The Minish Cap

Wisps come in two varieties, red and blue. If one comes into contact with Link, he will become cursed and won't be able to use his sword for a period of time. These enemies can easily be disposed of by using a Boomerang or the Bow.
