The Magic Rod is one of Link's weapons in Hyrule Warriors. It is unlocked in Legend Mode by opening the chest which appears capturing the Tunnel Square keep in The Sheikah Tribesman.

"A magical rod that summons fire. It attacks over a wide area, so it's perfect for bringing the heat on large groups of enemies."

Wii U: Unlocked in Adventure Mode by completing the challenge at grid E-7? after using a Candle on the corner tree.

3DS and Switch: Unlocked by getting an "A" rank at Great Sea Map F-14?

  • Base attack: 150

Magical Rod

Wii U: Unlocked in Adventure Mode by completing the challenge at grid F-2? after using a Candle on the bottom-right of the eight trees.

3DS and Switch: Unlocked by getting an "A" rank at Master Quest Map B-8

  • Base attack: 280
  • Per star: 28

Magical Rod +

Unlocked by getting an "A" rank at Twilight Map E-1. This sword is available only in Hyrule Warriors Legends and Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition.

  • Base attack: 500
  • Per star: 50

Crackling Rod

Unlocked by getting an "A" rank at Grand Travels Map E-10. This weapon is available only in Legends and Definitive Edition. It adds the Lightning element to the weapon in addition to Fire.

8-Bit Candle

Wii U: Part of the Master Quest Pack, unlocked in the Master Quest map of Adventure Mode by completing the challenge at grid A-11? with an "A" rank after using a Water Bomb on the boulder in the water. It has the same stats as the Magical Rod.

3DS and Switch: Can be used in place of the Crackling Rod or Magical Rod + when the 8-Bit Weapons option is turned on in the settings.
