"A light sword meant for younger adventurers. Use a Strong Attack to jump away from attacks, and then follow through with a midair strike!"

— In-game description

The Light Sword is the default weapon class used by Toon Link in Hyrule Warriors, Hyrule Warriors Legends, and Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition. In the Wii U version, the Light Sword is a DLC weapon, added with the Legends Character DLC Pack.

Toon Link fights using a sword-and-shield combo, similar to the Hylian Sword, but unlike the regular Link, Toon Link focuses on slower, heavier attacks.

C1? Toon Link jumps high into the air, landing a short distance ahead of him; While airborne, Toon Link can perform three aerial swipes with the Deku Leaf (the third swipe firing a wind gust downward) and a downward smash, which can be used separately or in order.
C2? Toon Link performs a rising, upward swing that knocks enemies into the air; This can be extended into his C1's aerial attacks.
C3? Toon Link somersaults forward with a vertical Spin Attack, before smashing the ground with his sword.
C4? Toon Link performs a right slash, before following up with a rising, upward swing that knocks enemies into the air; This can be extended into his C1's aerial attacks.
C5? Toon Link performs a rising Spin Attack that knocks enemies into the air; This can be extended into his C1's aerial attacks.
C6? Toon Link charges up, rushes forward with the Hurricane Spin, and performs a powerful left slash. You can freely control Toon Link as he spins, and mashing X / Y will extend the duration.

Trivia

  • While locked onto an enemy, if Toon Link presses X / Y after dodging left or right, he will automatically perform his C2; doing so after dodging backwards will trigger his C3.
