The King of Red Lions is a talking boat that Link befriends on the Great Sea in The Wind Waker. Link uses The King of Red Lions to travel the sea, and the King gives advice to Link while on their travels. Link receives the Wind Waker from this boat. He is first met after Link attempts to tackle the Forsaken Fortress, and rescues him after he is flung from the tower by the Helmaroc King.

The King of Red Lions is actually the King of Hyrule, named Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule.

- The King of Red Lions was originally designed to appear as though he was handcrafted out of wood, but a more Eastern style was ultimately emphasized in his look.[1]
