— In-Game Description.[1]

The Subrosian Ring is a Magical Ring that Link can obtain in Oracle of Seasons. In Oracle of Ages it is only obtainable through a Linked Game and the Ring Secret, otherwise it is impossible to obtain this ring.

In Oracle of Seasons, the Subrosian Ring can be found inside of a Cave on Mt. Cucco. Go to the Sunken City and change the season to Summer. Use the hidden underwater pathway to get to Mt. Cucco. Walk up and right a screen and use the Tree Stump to change the season to Spring. Walk left three screens and use the plant to shoot you up to the higher ledge. Go up a screen and enter the cave.

You will need to awaken Talon, who is sleeping within this cave. In order to do so you will need to have the Megaphone, which Link previous got from Mittens' Owner as part of the Trading Sequence. Once he uses the Megaphone, Talon will awake, giving Link the Mushroom as a reward. More importantly, you can now walk around and push the two blocks that are in the way of the Treasure Chest. Open it up to get the Seed Ring which becomes the Subrosian Ring when appraised.

When Link wears the Subrosian Ring, he will transform his physical appearance into that of a Subrosian. While in Subrosian form, Link will be unable to use any weapons. Using the ring has very little practical use at all and it's just another ring for collection purposes. While in Subrosian form almost all the regular characters in the world will not communicate with Link. Even other Subrosians, who previously would communicate with Link, will not communicate with Link while he is wearing the Subrosian Ring. Strangely, if Link enters certain shops, even if the ring is equipped, he will automatically transform back into standard form.

Strangely, when the Subrosian Ring is worn by Link, he becomes immune to getting sucked in by Like Like enemies.
