The Hero of the Depths Set is an armor set in Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom

The Hero of the Depths Set is created when speaking to the second, fourth and sixth Bargainer Statues Link encounters after A Call from the Depths is completed, including the Great Abandoned Central Mine Bargainer Statue which is the subject of that quest. As with everything sold by Bargainer Statues, they cost Poes rather than rupees:

Wearing it adds virtual Heart Containers, one per piece worn, which are affected by environmental gloom before Link's permanent Heart Containers or Temporary Hearts. These also recover even within the Depths (outside of the range of a Lightroot, unlike normal hearts. However, they are disabled when the armor is donned, and need to fill up before they can be used. They also do not protect Link's standard hearts from attacks by gloom-wreathed enemies, or his use of gloom weapons dropped by Phantom Ganons.

Enhance Path

Enhancing any part of the Hero of the Depths Set requires that Link has unlocked as many Great Fairy Fountains as the desired star-level, plus the materials below. Upgrading the entire set to at least ★★ level gives the Gloom Attack Resist Set Bonus, which adds a fourth virtual Heart Container, and also means Link does not take gloom damage from the use of gloom weapons (Gloom Sword, Gloom Club, Gloom Spear). Despite the name, it does not prevent or reduce damage to Link's actual Heart Containers from attacks by gloom-wreathed enemies.
