"A Great Fairy follows you, attacking enemies as she goes. Coordinate Combo Attacks with her, or use a Strong Attack to increase your attack strength...at the cost of some defense."

The Great Fairy is a weapon class used by Link in Hyrule Warriors. While wielding the weapon, the player controls a Great Fairy, who in an ironic twist on the typical formula, carries Link in a giant Bottle, releasing him to perform various Combo Attacks in tandem with the hero.

Variations

Note that Link can be seen with the Hylian Sword whenever he is released from the Bottle; Depending on what tier the player is using, Link will have the corresponding Hylian Sword tier.

Great Fountain Fairy: The Level 1 variation. The Great Fairy is based on those seen in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Link will use his Knight's Sword.
Great Forest Fairy: The Level 2 variation. Link will use his White Sword.
Great Sky Fairy: The Level 3 variation. Link will use his Magical Sword.
8-Bit Fairy: The Level ★ variation. Based on the Fairies in The Legend of Zelda, rendered in 3D. Link will use his 8-Bit Wooden Sword.
Great Sky Fairy +: The Level 4 variation. Link will use his Magical Sword +.
Great Tempest Fairy: The Level 4+ variation, which adds Lightning as a secondary element. Link will use his Darkmagic Sword.

Moveset

Attack	Explanation
Base String^?	The Great Fairy performs a series of seven attacks; she spins 360° and stomps the ground, performs a roundhouse kick to the left, dashes in a circle in front of her, swoops forward a short distance, swings the Bottle upward to knock enemies airborne, follows up with five swipes, and performs a spin kick that creates an explosion of water.
C1^?	The Great Fairy imbues herself with elemental power, emitting a faint pink glow. For 20 seconds, the player's attacks deal increased damage, but they themselves take increased damage as well.
C2^?	The Great Fairy fires two waves of Sword Beams at Link using his sword, then fires two at once with a third swing. The Sword Beams will travel past Link as he dodges, hitting enemies behind him.
C3^?	The Great Fairy throws an energy ball at Link. They bounce the ball between each other five times, before the Great Fairy slams the ball to the ground and creates an explosion between them. Enemies caught in the middle when the ball is thrown will be juggled for the duration of the move.
C4^?	The Great Fairy summons a volley of eight Giant Bombs that rain down around Link, before following up with a butt stomp below her.
C5^?	The Great Fairy summons a Great Fairy Fountain from a small whirlpool in front of Link, then materializes from it and leaps out, splashing water in the surrounding area.
C6^?	The Great Fairy summons Levias, who calls down a series of sixteen lightning strikes in front of Link, finishing with a massive strike that covers the entire screen.
Special Attack	The Great Fairy flies high into the air and summons the Moon, which crash-lands in front of her.
Focus Spirit Finisher	Manual: The Great Fairy stomps the ground, summoning a swarm of Fairies of varying elements around her, before blowing them forward with a kiss. Automatic: The Great Fairy releases Link from the Bottle before flying overhead, dropping two enormous water bombs around him.
