"A power-gauntlet-and-flail-combo set, perfect for devastating attacks. Pressing the Strong Attack button allows you to pick up and throw enemies."

— In-game description

Gauntlets are a weapon class used by Link in Hyrule Warriors. While wielding it, Link fights using a pair of strength-enhancing gauntlets, enabling him to swing a hefty wrecking ball and tear the earth itself apart.

Variations

  • Silver Gauntlets: The Level 1 variation. Based on the namesake item from Ocarina of Time. The wrecking ball used is the Ball and Chain from Twilight Princess.
  • Golden Gauntlets: The Level 2 variation. Based on the namesake item from Ocarina of Time. The wrecking ball used is a golden version of the Ball and Chain.
  • Power Gloves: The Level 3 variation. The gauntlets are silver, with orange jewels embedded into the knuckles and sides. The wrecking ball used is based on a Chain Chomp.
  • 8-Bit Power Bracelet: The Level ★ variation. A pair of the namesake item in The Legend of Zelda, with black gloves and rendered in 3D. The wrecking ball used is a 3D render of the Raft, attached to a green rope.
  • Power Gloves +: The Level 4 variation. Identical to the Power Gloves, but much more powerful.
  • Burning Gloves: The Level 4+ variation, which adds Hyrule Warriors Element Fire.png Fire as a secondary element. Identical to the Power Gloves, but with a red color scheme.

Attack Explanation
Base String? Link performs a series of five attacks: he swings the ball right, swings it left, perform two wide spins around him, thrusts the ball out front of him, and then smashes it into the ground a short distance from him.
C1? Link performs a grab in front of him. If he grabs a Jar, Bomb Flower, or enemy unit/captain/warrior, he will pick it up, and can drop it with Y / B or throw it with X / Y - Jars containing items are automatically dropped, while enemies are automatically thrown.
C2? Link pounds the ground in front of him, knocking enemies upward. From there, he can follow up by throwing a boulder upward, and then burrowing into the ground, creating a large sinkhole, before leaping out with an uppercut (X / Y , X / Y ). While in the sinkhole, Link is invincible from attacks.
C3? Link pounds his gauntlets together, creating an electric blast around him. From there, he can follow up by slamming the ground, sending out three electric pulses along the ground, before dashing forward with an electric slap (X / Y , X / Y ). Enemies hit by the attack are knocked upward and paralyzed, setting them up for the third hit, which knocks them back.
C4? Link pulls a tall stone pillar out from the ground and slams it down in front of him. From there, he can follow up by grabbing the pillar and spinning it around him, before jumping up and slamming it into the ground (X / Y , X / Y ). If Link only performs the first follow-up, he will simply throw the pillar.
C5? Link rips out a chunk of earth from the ground in front of him, creating a blast of electricity and flying debris.
Special Attack Link smashes his ball into the ground, jumps into the air, and spins 360° before tearing the ball out, the force creating an enormous shockwave of energy around him.
Focus Spirit Finisher Manual: Link swings his ball up into the air, then as it falls, he punches the ball, thrusting it forward with devastating power.
Automatic: Link jumps and slams his palm to the ground, releasing his remaining magic in an electric explosion around him.
