"Tempered Sword
The Swordsmiths will gladly temper the Master Sword for a paltry sum. By the time this happens, Link will have done them a huge favor."
The Tempered Sword is a sword in A Link to the Past. It is the third sword that Link can acquire.
A Link to the Past
To obtain the Tempered Sword, Link must find the Dwarven Blacksmith in the Dark World, and take him back to his brother, in the Smithery east of Kakariko Village. As a sign of gratitude, the brothers will offer to upgrade Link's Master Sword - however, the forging process takes time, and so Link must leave his sword with the brothers for a period of time. Eventually, the brothers will have forged the Master Sword into the Tempered Sword, which they return to Link.
In-game, the Tempered Sword appears identical to the Master Sword, but the blade is now orange instead of blue. It deals twice as much damage compared to the Master Sword.
