The Fire Shield or Red Shield is a shield from A Link to the Past and BS The Legend of Zelda: Ancient Stone Tablets. It is a more powerful version of the Fighter's Shield as it can protect Link against small fireballs shot from enemies.

A Link to the Past

There are two ways to obtain this shield:

• Purchase it in a store for around 500 Rupees
• Exchange the Fighter's Shield for this shield in the Waterfall of Wishing

Getting this shield is optional, rather than required to finish the game.

Ancient Stone Tablets

This shield is found in Level 4, located in the north of the Lost Woods during Week 2.
