"These carnivorous birds live in plains or highlands. They use their sharp talons and beaks to catch and eat small animals and other birds. They soar calmly through the sky and search for prey from above."

— Hyrule Compendium Entry

Islander Hawks are animals found in Breath of the Wild. This bird is rarely found in the canyons of the Gerudo region. Upon death they may drop a Raw Bird Thigh.

Alongside Seagulls, they're among the only birds in the game that do not land, only found airborne. Contrary to those, the presence of Hawks does not indicate anything at surface level.
