Breath of the Wild in-game description

Fruit Pie can be made in a lit Cooking Pot using Tabantha Wheat, Cane Sugar, Goat Butter and fruit with no effects, such as Palm Fruit and/or Wildberry. Adding fruit with stat-boosting effects may create variants with those effects - for instance, using Fleet-Lotus Seeds either in addition to or instead of Wildberries would create Hasty Fruit Pie.

If fruits carrying multiple different effects are added, they will cancel out and leave the result as plain Fruit Pie. There is no benefit to cancelling out effects in this manner.

If Apple is used, the result will be specifically Apple Pie or a version thereof, rather than general Fruit Pie. Non-fruit ingredients can be used as the fifth ingredient without changing the base recipe from Fruit Pie, however, allowing the creation of effect variants not possible with fruit alone.
