"A set of great swords brimming with dark power. Hold X / Y at the end of a Combo Attack to fill your gauge. Press X / Y to unleash the collected energy in a powerful attack."

— In-game description

Great Swords are a weapon class used by Ganondorf in Hyrule Warriors. They are Ganondorf's default weapon class, as he begins the game with Swords of Despair.

The Great Swords are Ganondorf's initial weapons in Hyrule Warriors. Ganondorf starts with Swords of Despair when he is unlocked - in the Wii U version, after completing the Shining Beacon scenario in Valley of Seers in Legend Mode.
