Termina
Termina is a parallel world to Hyrule. It is featured in Majora's Mask as the primary setting in the game. Termina contains many similar characters from Ocarina of Time but they seem to have no connection to their counterparts in Hyrule. Link arrived in this parallel world by looking for his lost friend, Navi, and discovers that Termina is threatened to be destroyed by the Moon; controlled by Majora's Mask. Clock Town resides at the land's center and serves as a hub.
History
Majora's Mask
Carnival of Time
Each year a festival is prepared in order to celebrate the Four Giants, the alignment of the sun and the moon and the progress of time. It's called "The Carnival of Time", During the carnival it's normal to wear masks representing the giants.
Ikana Kingdom
The kingdom of Ikana was located in the eastern parts of Termina, It was a place of violence before. The canyon is haunted by the spirits of soldiers that fought in these wars, i.e Captain Keeta a commander of the many armies of Ikana or the Garo Ninjas who once spied on the kingdom. And the cause of all of this was when somebody entered the Stone Tower; this was explained by Igos Du Ikana, the last king of Ikana.
Dark Tribe
It was told by the Happy Mask Salesman that this ancient tribe was using hexing rituals and dark magic with the help of Majora's Mask. But to prevent further misuse they sealed the mask away; it's this mask that the Skull Kid found and got possessed by. When the demon Majora started possessing the skull kid he started to inflict misery on the citizens and even brought down the moon from the heavens and set it on a course to destroy Termina.
Four Giants
Long ago, The people of Termina were watched over by Four Giants. They protected the people, This was before the people moved away into the four geographical directions. But one day they told the people that each one of them would go into the East, South, West and North and sleep, If the people needed help they would awaken. But the skull kid got angry with these news and felt alone, so he caused mischief.
Government & Economy
As in other Zelda games, Termina uses Rupees as it's currency. Clock Town seems to be the capital and has it's own Mayor, but each of the four regions of Termina have their own Leader: the swamp has a Deku King, the Zora have Toto, Ikana has Igos Du Ikana (A Ghost) and the Gorons have their own leader as well.
Clock Town

This is the main hub for Link, It is the location of the Milk Bar, Stock Pot Inn, Mayor's Residence, etc. Clock Town is the place where the Carnival begins. It is where Link arrives at first and is transformed into a Deku Scrub. The location of the Clock Tower is in the middle and within is the Happy Mask Salesman. Clock Town is divided in five parts: West, East, South, North and the Laundry Pool.
Southern Swamp

It is the location where Link heads first after he arrives to Clock Town. This is the home of the Deku and Woodfall Temple. It has a giant Swamp Volcano, the Twinrova Potion shop and Photography Building are both located here as well. The Forbidden Woods are also in the Woodfall area. Water is poisoned at first, but Link can restore it.
Snowhead

This is the home of the Gorons, It's the second location Link goes to, After he has solved the problems in Woodfall. It's here where the Snowhead Temple, Goron Village and Mountain Village are located. At first it's a cold and snowy place. It's winter, But after Link defeats Snowhead Temple it becomes spring.
Romani Ranch

This is the ranch where Link goes to to retrieve Epona. It is neighbors with the Gorman Brother's Track. In the ranch itself are the doggy race tracks, the cuccos, and at night on the first day, one can witness an Alien Attack.. "They".
Great Bay Coast

This is normally the fourth location where Link goes to. It's the home of the Zora, Gerudo Pirates and even Beavers. The Oceanside Spider House is here. This Bay can only be accessed when Link has Epona. The Great Bay Temple is on the outskirts, the Gerudo Pirate's Fortress is to the north and then there is also the murky water area.
Ikana Canyon

The canyon consists of four parts, the Graveyard, the Canyon, Stone Tower and Ikana Castle. The graveyard has the great skeleton of captain Keeta while the Canyon is home to the Castle of Ikana and the Stone Tower. The Ikana part of Termina is haunted by dead soldiers' spirits, and Gibdos. It's a very desolate place and very haunting.
Termina Field

This is the field that connects all four geographical continents with each other. Link must travel through this field in order to get to his destination. It hasn't got any cities except Clock Town, and the only other building is the Astral Observatory. It has many Chuchus, and hidden caverns.
