The "Scarecrow's Song" is a recurring song in the Legend of Zelda series. When played, this song summons forth a Scarecrow that Link can use as a grappling target for his Hookshot or Longshot. The song is composed by the player instead of having fixed notes.

If Link speaks with Bonooru in Lake Hylia as a child, he will boast that he can remember any song. Link can then play whatever what he wants the Scarecrow's Song to sound like, and Bonooru will keep it memorized. It he wants to change it, all he needs to do is take out his ocarina again and play a new song.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Once Link goes seven years into the future using the Master Sword, he can return to Lake Hylia to talk to Bonooru again. If Link can play the same song from before, Bonooru will praise him and mention that Pierre is traveling around. He explains that he can play that song to summon Pierre.

The "Scarecrow's Song" is composed by playing an eight-note song for the scarecrow Bonooru found near Lake Hylia. As long as the notes are not the same as those used in another song Link can play, Bonooru remembers Link's song for future use (if Link tries to use the notes of another song, Bonooru will tell him that he feels that song is needed for something else). When Link returns to the same area seven years later, Bonooru remembers the song upon being played it. He arranges for his friend Pierre, another scarecrow, to appear whenever the song is played in certain areas, indicated by Navi. Link can then use him as a target for his Hookshot or Longshot in order to reach otherwise inaccessible areas. Link can also create a new Scarecrow's Song by playing new tunes to Bonooru in the past.
Pierre will only appear in certain places, indicated by when Navi turns green. Link can use his Hookshot or Longshot to reach him, which can help him get to high up places or secret areas.

Majora's Mask
In Majora's Mask, Link must play the Scarecrow's Song for the "Stylin' Scarecrow" found in the Astral Observatory and Trading Post. He will promise to appear if the song is played. Similar to in Ocarina of Time, Link can use the Hookshot to get to this Scarecrow to find secrets. However, if Link plays the Song of Time, he will have to return to the Scarecrow and speak with him once more or the song will have no effect.

The "Scarecrow's Song", as in Ocarina of Time, is composed by playing an eight-note song (not already in the game) for the Stylin' Scarecrow, who can be found in either the Trading Post or the Astral Observatory. Once he has learned the song, he will appear, much like Pierre from Ocarina of Time, in certain areas when the song is played, and can be used as a Hookshot point. If the three-day cycle is restarted by playing the "Song of Time", Link must create the song from scratch.

Summons Pierre

The Scarecrow's Song is a customizable eight-note tune played on the ocarina in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. With it, Link can summon Pierre.

Ocarina of Time

If Link speaks with Bonooru in Lake Hylia as a child, he will boast that he can remember any song. Link can then play whatever what he wants the Scarecrow's Song to sound like, and Bonooru will keep it memorized. It he wants to change it, all he needs to do is take out his ocarina again and play a new song.

Once Link goes seven years into the future using the Master Sword, he can return to Lake Hylia to talk to Bonooru again. If Link can play the same song from before, Bonooru will praise him and mention that Pierre is traveling around. He explains that he can play that song to summon Pierre.
