The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD is a HD remake of Twilight Princess for the Nintendo Wii U. It is set to be released in March 4, 2016. It is being co-developed by Australian video game developer, Tantalus.

Changes from GC/Wii Version

  • 12 Tears of Light have to be collected instead of 16.
  • The first wallet carries 500 Rupees, Big Wallet carries 1,000 Rupees, and Giant Wallet carries 2,000 Rupees.
  • A new item called Ghost Lantern which lets Link track Imp Poes during the day has been added.
  • Swimming and riding Epona is improved.
  • Swimming and climbing animations are sped up.
  • Rupees are no longer returned to their Treasure Chests if Link's Wallet is full.
  • Link must catch a fish for Sera's cat only once during the beginning of the game as opposed to twice.
  • The number of Poes defeated and remaining in each area is now tracked on the map screen.
  • The map also shows the location of Horse Grasses.
  • Link will no longer hit his sword against walls, instead, it simply goes through them, making combat more manageable in close quarters.
