During a Nintendo Direct presentation on January 23rd, 2013, Eiji Aonuma announced a remake of The Wind Waker on the Nintendo Wii U with updated HD graphics.[1] The updated graphics use textures instead of the cel shading iconic of the original game for the Nintendo GameCube.
