The Armor Ring L-3 is a Magical Ring that Link acquires in Oracle of Ages by completing the Hero's Cave in a Linked Game. There is no possible way to acquire the ring in Oracle of Seasons directly, but it can be acquired by using the Ring Secret.
When equipped, the Armor Ring L-3 is similar to that of Armor Ring L-1 and Armor Ring L-2, but a bit more powerful. It decreases Link's Sword damage by three units as well as decrease the damage taken by enemies to three units.
Considering how drastically it lowers Link's Sword attack, this ring is best used if Link is planning on avoiding most enemies. Weak enemies do practically no damage to Link when this ring is equipped.
