The Ancient Shield is a shield found in Breath of the Wild. It has a base Shield Guard of 70 and durability of 32, making it one of the best shields in the game.
One can be obtained from "Cherry" in the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab for 1,000 Rupees, 10 Ancient Gears, 15 Ancient Springs, and 1 Giant Ancient Core per shield after lighting the tech lab's furnace with Blue Flame.
The shield can reflect Guardian beams directly back at the shooter; this frees the player from performing a Perfect Guard but at the cost of the shield's durability.
When Link is carrying this shield, only the centerpiece shows; the blue parts only show up once it is held in the hand.
