Note on the Table is an object from Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom

Multiple instances of a Note on the Table can be found in Tears of the Kingdom, written by different characters.

Camera Work in the Depths

During the Camera Work in the Depths quest, Robbie will journey down into the Depths. He runs ahead and Link must follow to catch up with him. Along the way, Link finds the Note on the Table in two different locations, and gives Link directions on where Robbie is.

The note encourages Link to head directly west towards the Iayusus Lightroot that is visible. Robbie can be found at a small campfire, right next to the Lightroot.

First Note Transcript

Hey, you! It's REALLY dark down here. Not one bit of light gets here from the surface. Even with my goggles, I can hardly see. I really should have brought some brightbloom seeds with me. As one of the few sources of light, the glowing root growing down from above has piqued my curiosity. I'm not sure what it is, but it looks harmless enough. This place is roughly under the shrine on the surface. Hmm...Anyway, I'm off to the glowing root I see shining west of here, so you better hurry up and get moving!

Second Note Transcript

Hey, you. Still alive? Looks like this place is swimming in gloom! Get too close to that stuff and you're asking for trouble. If a guy didn't have any brightblooms, it'd be curtains! Then again, it's my first time down here, and I haven't kicked the bucket... So I'm sure you'll be fine. I've just spotted something of interest through my goggles. It's shaped like that figure Josha wants us to find. I'll be continuing to head west toward one of those glowing roots I see ahead. See ya soon!

Hyrule Field

Main article: Note on the Table (Captain Hoz)

A Note on the Table can be found in Hyrule Field, south of Lookout Landing and just west of the Hyrule Field Chasm. It is written by Captain Hoz, meant for Hoz's Squad. It teaches his army how to use the Jump Slash attack, which Link has perfected.

Note Transcript

Link makes ready use of the jump slash, leaping into the air and swinging his weapon down with a practice ease. All crew members should be diligent in their daily training and aspire toward that level of mastery. -Captain Hoz

Outskirt Hill Well

Main article: Note on the Table (Chef Aurie Taamu)

The note can be found within Outskirt Hill Well and it is written by Chef Aurie Taamu. It teaches Link that in hot places, he can cook Fire Fruit to make a meal that increases his attack power, but offers no protection from the scorching heat.

Note Transcript

Is the desert a harsh environment with extreme temperature differences? Sure. But a place of death? No! The desert's the place where life truly comes alive! A sandy sea of energy where you can draw out all of your power. After all, it was under that hot desert sun where I first dined on a dish made with fire fruit. I felt my strength light up like a flambé. Monsters I struggled against before fell before me like flies! I'd never felt such joy, such strength! Then the desert heat overwhelmed me, and I collapsed in a heap. The moral is although fire fruit increases your strength, it doesn't offer any protection from the heat. Power and protection—such a fine pairing that it's hard to choose one to give up. I am the man who eats his way through Hyrule's harshest environments. -Chef Aurie Taamu, Wzard of Food

Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower

Main article: Note on the Table (Billson)

The note can be found in a small tent right beside the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower. Since the Skyview Tower has been buried in snow, it is now accessible from the outdoors. However, the note mentions that there is a nearby cave where the construction materials are stored. Accessing Meadela's Mantle Cave just to the north will lead Link to being able to access the Skyview Tower.

Note Transcript

Hudson Construction Activity Report -Billson

Who'd have thought a Skyview Tower could get snowed in like that? We're just lucky that the cave we stored our construction materials in was safe. I'm flying back to make a proper report.

Carok Bridge Well

A Note on the Table can be found in the Carok Bridge Well, where Aurie Taamu used to live. It gives information about the usefulness of Wells, in finding resources from materials to ingredients.

Note Transcript

This well proved more comfortable than I expected. Not too hot, not too cold...Cozy, really. For a well. I had no need for heat-resistant chilly ingredients or cold-resistant warm ones. I cooked for pleasure instead of survival. For a time, I considered tilling the soil in here, living off the land until the end of my days. But times have changed. The Upheaval formed a myriad of new caves. Consider my curiosity piqued. Unexplored lands are a veritable buffed of cooking materials, and I, Aurie Taamu, intend to dig in! If you seek fortune, keep moving. -Chef Aurie Taamu, Master of Cuisine

Mipha Court

Another Note on the Table can be found at Mipha Court near Rivan, who wrote the note. It gives Rivan's thoughts on the sludge and Sidon's efforts to control it.

Note Transcript

Mipha Court Security Report -Rivan

Day in and day out, the sludge never stops falling. Thanks to the tireless efforts of Prince Sidon, the water flowing into the domain has been kept somewhat clean...But the mountain path to Toto Lake-and to Dunma-is completely covered in sludge. When you want to sneak over there, remember to bring lots of splash fruit!

Ring Ruins

One can be found at Ring Ruins, inside of a tent. The note describes the Zonai Survey Team's discovery of the Sundelion, and their attempts to cultivate it.

Note Transcript

Southern Ring Ruin Research Journal -Cori

Like the other Ring Ruins, those that fell to the plateau south of the village also held a stone slab with Zonai inscriptions. Curiously, we also discovered a flower growing in the ruin, the likes of which we had never seen. References in ancient texts revealed that it was a sundelion-a plan long thought extinct. We are currently borrowing a local plum orchard for our cultivation efforts and hoping our studies prove fruitful.

Note: Our investigation of the round device filled with strange objects has meanwhile come to a standstill.

Gerudo Town

One can be found inside a house at Gerudo Town. It is only two pages long, and describes a stone slab covering a hole nearby.

Note Transcript

Construction and Service Notes:

In regard to work on the hole in the floor... Due to a lack of resources, a large stone slab has been used to temporarily seal the hole in the floor.
